Oh and hey E since Passenger Service and Flight Attendants make about the same in pay and benefits as me I guess they’re all riding the Mechanics Coattails as well. Duh Duh Duh.

Airline Financial Pecking order.

Top Executives:
Second Tier Management:
Specialized Management:
Pilots:
AMT’s:
Automotive and Facilities:
Flight Attendants, Passenger Service Agents and Fleet Service:
Lower Level Management:
Support Staff:
Vendor workers:

And others here and there in between.

You're posting 2-3 times for everything I respond with, so I'd say you're the one whipped up into a frenzy.

Wasn't fired, wasn't laid off, wasn't replaced. Doubled my compensation by leaving, and still quite happily employed by a profitable airline.

Do keep trying, though.

I have thoughts that come up after I responded so I come back and add them after the fact. If I Edit ✍️ you may miss something.

I found this from July 2, 2020 I hope you don’t consider it to be rude. Totally not my intention. Honestly congratulations. 11 out of 11 Airline jobs is something to be proud of. I’ve only been with the one but have moved to where I finally think is the Station I’ll stay at till I retire.

“ Tuesday ended the latest re-org round at United -- management levels 1 (MD) thru 3 (Sr. Mgr) have now been set.

Since March, it looks like 8 VP's, 16 MD's, 30 directors, ~120 senior managers, ~200 senior analysts/managers, analysts, and ~375 specialists/supervisors have retired or left the company, plus ~2600 support staff that worked essentially entry level non-union jobs.

Involuntary cuts for Levels 4 thru 9 get announced in about two weeks. Everyone remains on payroll thru September.

(I kept my same position... #survivor2020 )”

And on the History comment you made earlier I agree. But many times people who’ve lived that History make up their own interpretations based on their personal experiences. I started listening to the Kev Podcast but I don’t like music 🎶 being included that’s meant to illicit an emotion from me. That’s probably why I enjoyed Charlie Rose and BBC’s Hardball.

Oh and on your Pension post I hope you got the information that our Pension has moved to Fidelity. When I retire it’s going to be a lot easier to draw out now than having to jump through hoops.

Eric Eric Eric.

A non-mechanic isn’t a coat tail rider.

Any mechanic and related negotiator will tell you what fleet does and gets has zero effect on mechanics and Vice a versa.

You are sorta kinda special if you believe that of fleet takes less money that it would be given to the mechanics.

You are another one who is anti-union has had zero clue of how things actually work.

Last time I checked AA is profitable.

Ask Kirby the real reason he was asked to leave AA and passed over for the next CEO.

And Kirby is no friend of labor

And Kirby had to back down.

I was actually thinking the same thing on his comment about a profitable Airline. Right now almost all the Airlines out there are profitable. Who would have guessed that people being freed from the office’s would have them flying more than they did before the Pandemic.

I honestly didn’t see that one coming.

Have to love how deceptive AMFA can be. They just put out some propaganda claiming how they are the top paid in the industry to try to lure suckers to join them. Next to their comparison to Delta though they put this disclaimer in very small letters.

Something like this should make people ask what else are they attempting to be deceitful about? 🤔

AMFA's Nov update is out. A good year for AMFA growth, and continuing into 2023. Keep up the solid work fellas.

National President Update - November 2022
December 16, 2022 -- As we near the end of 2022, we can reflect on our profound success this year. AMFA leadership set ambitious goals for the Association, and we can proudly say we raised the standards and increased the recognition of our craft in the aviation industry across North America. As expressed at the beginning of this year, our Association was fully prepared for growth this year as hiring accelerated system-wide, and our accomplished attracted Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (AMTs) and Maintenance Controllers (MOC) in the United States as well as Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs) in Canada who are seeking our craft/trade specific union representation.

AMFA

Another Mechanic group is added to the list of airline Mechanics seeking AMFA's Class and Craft Representation. WestJet was just recently added to the current list with AA and JetBlue Mechanics and Related. Although not listed as of yet, UAL Mechanics are also seeking AMFA Representation too as they have also kicked off a very active card drive for AMFA. A very busy couple of years for organizing for AMFA Representation.
Kicking off the new year with 4 more after ending the year with 4 added last year. Could AMFA represent up to 10 different airline Mechanics group by end of 2023? Delle is proudly watching over it all. AMFA could soon represent the most airline mechanics in the industry, what a concept huh???

Hey swamp why didn’t you share this news? Hey are the 50 FMT’s who are being paid $10.00 per hour behind their 2000 or so FMT counterparts at AA finally going to catch up? I mean it’s already beyond amazing that a “skilled” group at a major carrier represented by AMFA is being paid below that carriers Baggage Handlers. Wouldn’t you agree?

Oh trust me, I'm much happier with American in the rearview mirror. As long as my pension checks keep showing up every month, I don't really care what you guys do. The more you screw up, the better it is for my airline.

Not really longing for the past, but just noting that Dave and Bob were much better to converse with than you, because you're nothing more than a mouthpiece repeating and toeing the party line.

I still fail to see why you have such a problem with AMFA considering you would never be represented by them. Maybe it's because the TWU you knows that without the mechanics, the other coattail riders like you are really screwed.

A follow up to the news posted above.
WestJet's AME's just filed for AMFA's Class and Craft Mechanics Representation.
If successful, WestJet will become the 7th Airline to bring in AMFA Representation as well as, the 2nd Canadian entity, following L3 Engineers. Congrats to them for a successful grass roots organization to bring a vote for AMFA's Representation.
