In the February 10th US News NOW it is stated in the first paragraph. 55 Pilots will be recalled as a result of three newly acquired 757 aircraft. Sounds pretty formal to me being thats it's a company news memo.

US Airways, Charlotte's dominant carrier and a major local employer, will recall about 55 pilots, trimming from the current list of about 1,570.
The pilots will help fly three newly acquired Boeing 757 jets. The airline has also been recalling furloughed flight attendants: About 40 percent of 180 flight attendants scheduled for training this spring are ex-US Airways workers.
"These employees have demonstrated incredible patience and dedication during their time away from us, and we're thrilled to welcome them back to the new US Airways," said US Airways Chief Executive Doug Parker.

Bad feelings, Bad feelings…You know, I just can’t be a cheerleader for a company that’s done EXACTLY what its wanted to do at the employee’s expense.

I believe this whole transformation of U to an LCC was accomplished on the backs of the employees. I paid for this…!!

Bitter yes, I worked for 23 years for my pension and lived up to my part of every contract that was signed. I watched as bad decision after bad decision is made…. Executives walking away with millions of dollars as my family struggled.

I hoped for the best and at every turn we took it square in the face….How long do you continue to turn the other cheek..??

When the company finally breaks the threshold of what you will tolerate, you will leave. Obviously, since you are still here, that hasn't happened yet. If the company makes you that miserable, then I am sure they will gladly accept your resignation and allow someone junior to you, that wants a job, to come back to work.

I honestly can't handle that kind of crap when I'm at work anyway. I hear some f/a's Bi@#$ing and moaning about work and I'm like, "you can resign at any time". I don't want to hear the reasons why you don't or can't. If you choose to be here as of 2/13/06 then you obviously haven't had enough. I asked one woman f/a if she had any idea how many invols were out still and she did not know. I then told her to bid reserve if she didn't like her block and I'd gladly take it as would many others. I feel for ALL of us, especially employees with children and families to take care of. It's hard but nobody is making you stay.

Ummmm ..you work for an airline. In case you haven't heard, airlines operate 7 days a week.

I do NOT get people that complain about a situation, yet constantly stay in it. Kind of like staying with a spouse that beats you.
