Chances I'll make Diamond by end of year?

I'm 10K MQMs until Diamond. (I just flew JFK-Amsterdam round trip and it only got me 4K MQMs, from 14K). I'm flying to South Africa and then JFK-Seattle before the end of the year. Is there any way to calculate whether that'll be enough to get me to Diamond? Is it something Delta can tell me?

I admit I am VERY confused about how these MQMs are calculated.

Yes, Delta could tell you, but they probably won't. Nor would any of the other major airlines. The recent modifications to Airline Affinity programs are designed to produce maximum profit for the airline and minimum benefit for the member.
