The 5% pay deferral will begin March 31.

Management has advised CWA that the following stations will close or convert to Mainline Express:
MDW will close on May 5, 2003;
CLE and MKE will convert to Mainline Express on June 2, 2003;
US Airways Express stations (not CWA covered mainline express) at Kalamazoo, Mich, Madison, Wis and Baton Rouge, La. will also close effective May 4, 2003.

US Airways also announced the following service reductions in a press release yesterday:
Between April 2 and May 3, 2003 the last two banks of flights departing from Pittsburgh will be suspended on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. And on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, the last bank of flights from Charlotte will not operate.
These schedule reductions are not expected to create furloughs in PIT or CLT. Management hopes to provide VTO, vacation and other options to
avoid headcount reductions.

From the CWA update bulletin.

Doesn''t it stand to reason then that this will be a reduction in service to these destinations....causing less service and the need for furloughs in those cities.....

I think this means these stations will be RJ service and mainline agents will be paid at $13.01 hr.....if they wish to keep their jobs......
