Cwa Reaches A New Ta

Assuming Ta were to pass, does everyone get a raise(so to speak) with new payscales(relative to the current 21pct cut)..or do these new pay rates NOT become effective until mid FEB?

And you really expect them to live up to any agreement they make??? What about outsourcing - my guess it will be like the mechanics work that was outsourced in direct violation of their contract. You people are gullible. I have a bridge for sale in Brooklyn - anyone want to buy it??

I think reservations is on its way to Alabama best case and to Honduras worse case.

Bob...I thought you had gone away....Oh well...

The TA has to be ratified by the membership....you know those folks who voted 86% in favor of striking. We'll soon enough see how well this flys..certainly no pun intended. There is life after USAir...ways thankfully and I hope most people find it.

No Copiers here ( Konica 2028 / Konica 3035)....

May I interest you in a new Kitchen Range...Gas or Electric.

I can only imagine that this offer will be extended to the "Select Few", with most of the system being Expressed...Another sellout by the union...

You may be right about the CWA caving into management but my prediction is it will be ratified.

53% yes 47% no

Good luck to all

Yeah. Heh... Heh... Heh.....
What's your problem Beavis? There's no way
a majority of the hacked off CWA representatives
will vote to have their job outsourced. Have
another beer.

Yea , but the alternative is to have the judge outsource the res job and give them nothing ! At least ( if the buyout is still part of the T/A ) the res agents can leave with $20,000, 1 year of medical and life time travel ! Good luck to all and before you vote yes or no think about ALL your options !

Man.....I hope they've kept that "ready reserve" clause in there. I so excited......I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight.

The CWA should be commended for working thoroughly to protect their membership and also see that the company reached its numbers that will enable us to return to profitability.

Every local president supported the proposal. The buyout is very generous. The rate is $17, going to $18.60 in 3 years. Outsourcing is not permanent.

The last proposal I saw (and I'm sure this one is fairly similar) is NOTHING like the one we were being told to 'accept or expect more pain' just a couple months ago by some people. Just curious though why the company spent so much time and produced such ill will on the HP $13 an hour push when this (or something similar) to start with could have avoided much of the animosity and disgust for management (and the labor negotiating department) that is there now. I know you can wish for the stars, but to continue to pursue the original (imo trash talk contract), when settling for something like this in the end after all this time and pain is beyond words.
I'm sure this will pass in the end just because of the people who want the buyout and to be rid of the sh*t involved with this company. Whatever you vote, vote for what you think is best for you. Good luck to all no matter what you choose to do.

What will ratify CWA will be the "buy out" for many.

"CHAOS...coming to a city near you..."

Good.

The company will be able to indentify and fire those who engage in illegal job actions.

Guaranteed there will be many "catches" and much small print. The union will be in such a hurry now to get the vote out that no one will realize what they are voting for or against...as usual. I hope everyone reads the fine print, asks many questions and thinks real hard before they cast their vote.

For as much as management wanted to get rid of the pesky agents and for as little as they think they are worth the deal can not be a good one for the agents. They need to analyze it piece by piece and understand the ramifications from all ends before taking that big step.

If there is any mention of bigger and better things in the future think twice. Remember why many voted "yes" on the first and second give backs? Because of snap backs. Well those snap backs are down the old tubos. Will US be around for any future raise, extra week of vacation, profit sharing and what ever else is dangled under everyone's noses? Think real hard before you vote!

"Outsourcing is not permanent".

Now about that bridge in Brooklyn, you will be sending me cash right!

If you honestly believe outsourcing is not permanent, well, what can I say!
