Not only does usapa have no LUP, but the thing they really do have is the Nic, as the only system seniority list at LCC.

It seems as though they were unable to rewrite the seniority list, get their rewrite into a contract, and avoid all challenge prior to their demise.

Pilots from America West Airlines picketed outside McCarran International Airport Monday as part of a three-city protest designed to pressure airline management into settling a nearly 3-year-old labor dispute.

So basically for Move and the douche boys, this labor dispute is going on 14 years! Hmmmmm...1999. Isn't that the year HP was attempting to merge with United?

I said it all along that APA was just using Doug. He was the proverbial "bargaining chip!" I think everybody but Doug, merger cheerleaders, the WEST, were the only ones in the dark. I hear Move the douche is still in denial.
 
It's always both heartwarming and inspirational to see such a fine and truly deserving specimen of selfless "Integrity", nobility of purpose, and of course "righteousness" to the very soul's core, properly expound on their personal enlightenment (or is that "entitlement"?) for the benefit of impure and lesser mortals everywhere... 🙂

Here's the difference (as though you have to be schooled...again). My captain upgrade (and those upgrades that belong to any AWA pilot) were done by acquisition and merging of the companies. Thence via an agreed upon process to its conclusion.

The upgrades you boys are crowing about are based on deception, lying, thievery, manipulation & good old skullduggery.

The interesting thing is the APA, UAL, CAL, SWA, DAL, and everyone else in the commercial aviation community knows it, and you don't care. Your families know it and you don't care. Your friends know it, and you don't care. Most importantly the Creator knows it, and you don't care.

USAPA's actions (both direct & indirect) against the AWA pilot group will go down in the commercial aviation history books as one of the most vile and disgusting acts against fellow aviators.

BTW, I'm not crying a Wye River because all you had to offer there was.....wait for it .......wait for it......DATE OF HIRE (big stinkin' surprise). Justice will be served, sooner or later.

Here is what the rest of the industry knows about your America West operation. Nothing has changed. This is what all airline families know about your history. How things have not changed. You are still trying to take jobs you never earned. It is your legacy.


I encourage all of you with an interest in seeing Australia and doing some very interesting flying in this "Land Down Under", to contact the flight manager's office or contact any one of the people who have seen the situation FIRST HAND for the straight story. Of course, I am not so naive as to think that the pilots at America West who insist on stirring the foul smelling bucket of discontent will take the time, but I am sure they couldn't see the forest for the trees anyway.
It is also worthy to mention that we at America West owe a great deal to
Ansett Airlines and Sir Peter Abeles. We have benefited from a large
amount of equipment from them (much of which was purchased at below market rates) and, also, we have a very large percentage of our company's stock in their hands that needs to be protected from the Donald Trumps of the world. I might also mention that the Australian operation contributes a sizable chunk to our bottom line. We will likely see an increase to our fleet size as a direct result, and we are surely putting ourselves in a position to someday have 747 service into Sydney and Melbourne.

Love him or hate him, Mike Conway is right about this, "We cannot afford to make policy and run this company based on the Jumpseat." His words not mine.
But, I agree and support his decision to send us to Australia. I am proud of the accomplishments we made and the professional manner with which we made them. Ansett Airlines has learned a lot from us about operating a deregulated airline.
