There's no nic anywhere in any mou.
There will be three lists tendered for seniority integration.
Then there will be one list and the west can proceed on their merry legal path.
And spend years and dollars trying to cash the lottery ticket.
And that will be a very very long time and cost a very very large amout of money!!!!

I tend to agree an M/B SLI is an appealing course for the reps and the company, not for any happiness of anyone, but rather for the simple fact that M/B allows everyone involved to punt any and all responsibility, i.e.. shirk responsibility and get the line puggs to pay for it. I would prefer the reps to actually do their job but that is a lot to ask of mere pilots.

As each of us considers the MOU, we have some very good examples that have preceded us. 1) we have the FAs who have refused to accept substandard contract offers, 2) we have the APA pilots who refused the first offer and now haver $100K plus their retirement, and 3) we have the hasty announcement of an agreement by Gary Hummel that was retracted by the communications committee because he was too embarrassed to make a correction himself, and we have 4) individuals who proudly announce their intention to vote "yes" on anything, long before there are even rumors of the content...

So... we can choose a legacy of haste or deliberate patience, and the outcome will be far more significant than mere embarrassment, because there won't be a communications committee that can step in to cover for us. 🙂

The APA had leverage over both Parker and Horton. USAPA has next to nothing. While Parker would prefer that the CoC clause didn't exsist, make no mistake he can get around it. If the east chooses to mess around, we will all get parked in the corner. The west in PHX and the east on LOA93 for an extra year plus. The end result will be the same except the ex-US pilots will have lost out financially. USAPA put us in a crummy position and unfortunately it's too late to fix most of it. I am somewhat familiar with negotiations and playing the game, but the fact remains we are in an inferior position and pushing it will just end badly for us(US).

Then why is Parker even talking to us?
Just being a nice fellow I imagine.

No doubt. 😉 If it's to be fearfully assumed that no leverage, nor tactical opportunity of any sort now exists; I'd earnestly ask of all just what conditions would ever prove more favorable in the future...and when that fantasized, magically wonderful "future" would ever occur? Team tempe wants this badly. That much is very certain.

I would imagine Parker knows it is better to have everyone onboard. Is USAPA going use it's typical negotiating tacting of putting a gun to it's head and threatening to shoot? Let me guess, give us money and DOH or we'll blow up a deal where we stand the most to benefit. Is that the plan?

If it is out - it better have decent $ and signing bonus. As well as no scope giveback. I see Cleardirect slunk away, and Prechil has shut up for the time being.

We will need a nice chunk of change to approve this MOU, has to be way more than 10 grand.

And btw. Nicalou put us in this position. Not usapa.
No one in their right mind would have accepted that aberration.
Unless they were the windfall receivers.
The us airways pilots did exactly what they had to do to protect the only thing they had left. Seniority.
This merger will put an end to the nic nonsense.

No I think you are missing the point.

Most pilots would be good with something commensurate to the $100K he is giving to the AA pilots (and probably even without additional money for the retirement). What did Delta/Northwest get for signing?

Well, I hope you're right, I could use $100k.

Or you could just do your regular rollover and take anything that comes along, right.
