Dec 2012 / Jan 2013 US Pilots Labor Discussion

The line pilots are still waiting for an explanation from the "our group" people. Why do we need to change the make up of a BPR that has voted unanimously, multiple times, on two different MOUs? And why are the "our group" folks opposed to the line pilots having information to vote?

What's the agenda of the "our group" pilots and how does less information help the line pilot to be an informed voter?

The pilots are going to get the information on the MOU. What Glynn and the CLT reps want is to get out the "information" read spin on WHY they voted the way they did. Nothing but CYA and political cover.

Let the NAC explain the MOU. Leave the spin out of it.

When the NDA is lifted we will get a copy and we can all read it for ourselves. Or do you think that the pilots are to stupid to read and understand English and must have their hand held on how the CLT reps want you to vote?

The only reasonable question here is which of these two little "cupcakes" is covered in the deepest layers of...umm..."icing"? I'd invite any and all to attempt to make even the slightest sense from the following, seemingly mutally exclusive notions. This is the sort of infantile nonsense that apparently passes for "logic" among such people.

USA320: "3. Could Bill's comments potentially disrupt the proposed merger because certain members of the BPR violated confidentiality and then Bill knowingly wrote information from a "closed session" meeting?"

dca: ".....and most especially the part where a rep threatens to undercut the NDA. I hope he tries it..."

U"....potentially disrupt the proposed merger because certain members of the BPR violated confidentiality....?"......dca"...I hope he tries it..."

Sigh! It's clearly in the best interests of all concerned to wish to see great minds like those working together to solve all the world's problems. 😉

I remember signing a non-disclosure agreement when doing a valuation on a business for sale (didn't want employees to know). That was a midsized business and even that was to be taken seriously. Notice of intent to vacate NDA? Holy guacamole, that's like sticking your head down the barrel of a loaded howitzer, what an idiot!!!.

Bean
"An idiot", how cute! More like "CONVICTION FOR THE TRUTH!" or maybe nothing to hide!

The group of pilots who wanted to vote on this MOU. The group of pilots who want to vote on their own future. That's what USAPA is supposed to allow and that's just what it's going to do. And now CLT wants to save its skin at the cost of the MOU. I don't think so. They're not standing up for anything but themselves. Everything you read from Glynn was fed to him by McKee.
This is the SAME McKee that was on the MEC when members of the negotiating committee warned them about out pension at a time when it could have been frozen. This is the SAME McKee that sided with the PIT and BOS reps on so many occasions to the detriment of this pilot group. What the CLT reps provide is a channel to the union that feeds the needs of a very angry part of our pilot group. That is about to end. We need representation by reasonable people that look to tomorrow instead of being bound to yesterday. We can't fix every bad thing that happened to us since 1989. We CAN get the best deal our NAC, professional negotiator and attorneys can put together. Already, rumors like "they left $2 million on the table" are circulating around. Those serve but one purpose...to feed the anger of those already angry and to sway those that don't bother to take the time to go to the meetings, listen to our negotiators and get the real truth. It's time for new reps in CLT. All the current reps are doing right now is running for cover. It won't work. There are too many of us that want them replaced and it is going to happen VERY soon. It's time for the BPR to represent the whole pilot group...not the splinter groups alone. It's also time for the PHX reps to step up to the plate and stop voting opposite the East reps for the sake of "principal". That is NOT representation. We are going to clean house on our end West guys...what say you? Driver...

Move2 has been spanked and sent to his room for awhile for his abusive potty mouth we'll know when he's back!!!!!!!

The same must have applied to eastus1 for some of his rants. Either that or he is in a padded cell somewhere.

Your spin! What the CLT REPS do is represent a conviction different from yours, you call it "ANGER" , a term to justify "YOUR" interpretation of a disagreement of your expectations!

Oh, you're back. Have a nice trip to the asylum? Your recent meltdown was very entertaining. Looking forward to the next one. Your "Masters Degree in Psychology" taught you well how to be really nuts. I don't think that even nutjobs like Claxon and MM and luvthe9 will take you seriously any more. But at least you provide entertainment.

No MM. These CLT reps care more about saving their political bacon than what's best for the line pilot. And this time there will be no ALPA to blame.

I'd sure like to know what happened during those closed sessions before I vote to recall or not. Were any changes made to the MOU (the more recent one) at the insistance of some of the reps? Was Hummel's original version of the MOU less attractive?

Seems to me the hard work has been done at this stage. Perhaps the recall vote should be postponed until the NDA veil has been lifted. Also, perhaps we should petition to have the minutes of those closed BPR sessions made available to the pilots.

It's not about one meeting, one issue or one vote. It is about a pattern of representation that only benefits one part of our pilot group. You will be lucky if you ever see the minutes. More likely, you will see an interpretation of what went on based on who's telling it. It's politics, it's ugly and it needs to be over.
