Doug Parker has stated, in the past, that the US Airways East pilots change of control provision in their contract will stop a merger.

Doug has stated later that it does not matter. Doug has requested the pilots give up their change of control, to make the merger slash accounting department and creditors have an easier day, er, but Doug does not need it.

Quit asking for it. Give up yours and the East pilots will give up theirs. Leadership.

I've only one question = Do you properly represent the aggregate intellect of those that elected you out west? If so: Were they subsequently harvested for their chemical resources, or even utility value as bath sponges? 🙂

I think it was announced that Doug is meeting this week with USAPA. Yeah he needs us to support the merger but seeing how he was able to fawn all over the APA pilots I think he knows when to offer a deal that no one can refuse.
