Your analogy, much like yourself is ridiculous. Rationalizing the absurd.
The US is not a Union then you say? Even though it says we are in the first line of our most revered text. The Constitution of the United States.

Fascinating.

not sure where the thread is going

obviously pete wont answer the question he was asked     i do get the fact he and few others are anti union   but i have to wonder how would they feel if DL suddenly came to them and say  sorry we are having to let you go bec we need to save money"  kind of thing

Not saying it will happen  but being employees at will it would not take much for them to do that.....

We had a guy like that back in DFW. Smooched the company butt to no end. Was lauded as Mr Model Employee. They even had him in safety videos and on a poster (I kid you not)

Then the layoffs came. When the company told him he was being laid off the diatribes coming out of his mouth against the company were hilarious. They didn't even give him a towel to wipe all the brown chit off his face.

Oh and when he came back, never saw him in another video again. LMAO.

It's Too Hard to Get Rid of a Union

Unions are supposed to advocate for the welfare of the employees they represent. But what happens when a union fails to produce anything of value for its members?

Nearly 1,000 Allegiant Air flight attendants have been represented by the Transportation Workers Union for almost five years now. In that time,
the TWU has failed to secure a contract, and the flight attendants have not received any pay or benefit increases. And since they are represented by a union,
they cannot legally negotiate their contracts individually or through another representative.

Employees in this situation should have a clear and direct path toward ridding themselves of the union. Yet dispensing of a union can be a herculean task, as these workers are finding out.

One of the big reason why I don't want to join a union.  Nearly impossible to get out of.

American Airlines CEO Doug Parker

"What I tell our team is that unions are a positive thing. They represent our employees on things like contracts so our employees don’t need to worry about it. They represent our employees on things like grievances vs the contract so individuals don’t need to worry about it"
But from managements’s perspective, there should be 5 people on the management team that are dealing with union employees. When you have contract negotiations, grievances… but very few of us should talking about the union unless we’re in a negotiation. So at any rate, we’re getting there.

No it's not. Just hop a plane to Iran and you will no longer be a part of this Union called the United States of America.

It's far more difficult to get out of then to join one.

That's the dirty filthy little secret.

No thanks.

And you dont have to join one.

If DL FAs unionize you can be come a dues objector "non-member" and only have to pay dues to what is germane to the CBA.

And you cant vote on your CBA, cant attend any meetings, nor can you run for office or vote in any union election.

And union dues are tax deductible.

Damn that sounds like a deal. Only an iam goon could come up with that argument.Pay money so you can't vote so you can get a tax deduction. For something you don't want in the first place. By the way why don't you add the date for all those pictures you post. There probably from last year ... But I'll ask chris I see him in the picture when it was.

That would be the Supreme Court who came up with dues objectors, Beck vs CWA was the first case and the next was Whirlpool vs Machinists.

So the IAM nor did any Union come up with the concept.

DALPA has dues objectors.

You might want to educate yourself before you post so you dont look foolish.
