I'm not arguing anything; in fact, if you've been paying attention, you know I'm neither a fan of pensions or malfeasance. I simply used your flawed logic to show where you were wrong.

I normally stay out of these discussions, but here I go.townpete said:
So you're comparing a lone DAL employee to all these high level people at IAM?
People like Robert Roach, Warren Mart, Burton Trebour, Alfred Nelson, Lynn Tucker, Philip Gruber, Gary Allen, Robert Martinez Jr., and Thomas Connery?
lol

I will give them the benefit of innocent until proven guilty, however, I have never been a fan of Roach and Co. I have actually met the guy in person and was less than impressed then. To know that he was given fiduciary authority over a huge pension fund is scary and inexplicable.
As the old saying goes, "The fish rots from the head."
There is no "lol" in this at all.
I don't disagree with any of that. What I will continue to argue against is TownPete's assertion that the entire organization is "corrupt." That's 10's of 1000's of people.Glenn Quagmire said:I normally stay out of these discussions, but here I go.

I would add that this is germane to the discussion here as it goes to the leadership competence of the IAMAW national. I know that locals retain some autonomy, but they are hamstrung by idiots like Roach.
That is why we showed them the door. I would never support an IAM drive after having been represented by them for longer than I want to remember.
Them, in association with the TWU airline division is a combination of the worst in union representation.
After saying all that, I still support collective bargaining and it should never be taken away from the workforce.

The actions of one (or a few) rarely reflect the actions of the whole. I simply used an equally absurd example to make my point.
Kev3188 said:Wasnt me that painted 1000's and 1000's of people with the same broad brush...
And let's also remember, like 'em or not; these people are still afforded due process.
...Or is that another right you're eager to toss aside?
Wrong thread. Try again. Just because I agreed with you on one point will not give you license to carry on your abhorrent behavior.townpete said:Yeah you do Kev, remember all gun owners as redneck ammosexual's?
Kev3188 said:Never lumped all gun owners together. If you can find a post that says that, by all means post it here.
And I never "rush" to do anything of the sort about DL; you've just convinced yourself that I do.
What's that inevitable over used phrase of yours? Something about being a hammer?
And just because you don't like what someone says and your only comeback is "Wrong Thread" time after time, doesn't entitle you to consider yourself a moderator but, here you are!Glenn Quagmire said:Wrong thread.
