Delta Labor Relations thread.

Pilots have absolutely not had to settle for the same benefits as other workgroups. In many cases, they have negotiated far better ones comparitively...
Do Pilots have an "offset" on anything that they are currently compensated for under their CBA?

Their pensions were frozen for the non-union, do you have a Social Security offset like the FAs do?

Do you know what that is?

And wasnt DL's pilots pension frozen while NW's pilots had theirs terminated?
Yes I do.
And yes I do.
And it is the opposite
You are so misinformed but you still keep posting

Yes we do .For those that had a retirement before bankruptcy We don't presently have one today to have an offset

So I'm guessing that you're implying your pension is now with the PBGC and I guess the offset is the reduction in benefits?

As far as I know the PBGC doesn't care what money you get or have when you retire.

Delta obviously does for some groups.

So as a Pilot you have a great 401k match? Far and away better than the average American. My guess is you know if other groups organize and can get something secured in writing then the overall costs of the company can remain flexible if they need to dip in to other areas to accommodate your CBA?

Can you be honest about that if I got it right?

No the same match as all other DL employees. The additional money is placed into the same account as the 401. It is the "new" retirement benefit . Again to offset the retirement that we lost in bankruptcy.
You got it wrong. Enjoy your profit sharing check

So you are saying that you receive the exact same amount of percentage matched of what you put in as any other person who works for the airline?

If an FA has a 6% match so do you. And that is the only retirement benefit you have given to or negotiated to you by your union?

Question.

If your Union in negotiations gets a higher percentage match for your group, do you believe the same percentage will drift down to everyone at Delta?

If only they were non-Union, everything would be ok. Is that it?

Possibly yes actually. Because then the company "could" if they chose just lower the wages instead of moving out of the country?

Although probably not because of that pesky minimum wage law we have here in the US.

Get rid of that and they could bring them down to $3.00 per hour and keep the factory open for the Executives and Shareholders to enjoy the wealth.

Been here almost 30years. The answer is.....yes. It always has been that way and to keep the same culture it would have to be....yes

Stop trying to mix in retirement money to 401 match....that is something 700 would try to do..it is different.

Pretty sure the union put the death nail in the coffin just as they done before.

Just look how they destroyed the US steel industry.

Pretty sure you're ignoring a whole host of other causal factors, but hey, don't let that get in they way of celebrating the loss of ~1400 good paying manufacturing jobs.

Im not celebrating the job loss.

Im celebrating yet another union claim has been proven for what it is.

A monumental colossal lie.
