What's new

Delta Labor Relations thread.

There's also the issue that the last time Senate Republicans decided to dig in their heels and refuse to confirm someone they thought "too liberal" and the time they decided to shut down the government instead of passing a budget bill, it backfired on them.  Turns out the American people weren't nearly as dumb as the Republicans thought.  The voters did not blame the President for the vacant seat on the court nor did they blame the President for the government shutdown, they blamed the people who did it--the Republican Senate and (in the case of the budget) the Republican House.  Given how little they have once again accomplished in this Senate/House term, do they really want to risk the wrath of the voters again?  It cost them some seats last time, and they don't have a big majority this time around.

You mean the wrath of the voters that gave them the House and the Senate? Thats some wrath! lol

Delusional as always.

Blessing of the Union?

Why do you post lies knowing your going to get called out?

SMH.

And Kevin was right your gloating and laughing at 1,400 people losing their jobs just shows who you truly are, why don't you use your pass benefits and go gloat to those workers who are losing their jobs.

Im gloating over the fact that one of your false claims of why you need a union has gone up in smoke...again.

You claim a union is needed for job protection, etc.

These people paid into a false narrative perpetuated by the union, only to be thrown under the bus by the union itself.

So, like Trump said in the debate, tax the sh!t out of Carrier products coming into the U.S. from Mexico.
Personally, when it's time to replace my existing AC unit, I won't be buying Carrier!

Also, would like to know why Quag's not calling you out, like everyone that doesn't share his views, for this not pertaining to the topic at hand!

Last time I checked, this was about labor relations at DL, not Carrier!

That would be because I had other things to do on a late Saturday night. You should be working on getting some of that free education. It cannot hurt.

It does seem that this thread has turned into a SCOTUS, and a generalized, Union labor is good/bad thread.

Can you actually comprehend what you read?

Go chastise your fellow DL employee townpete, she introduced this subject in this thread.

Simply amazing, your lack of comprehension.

Taking a job at a union airline that has a closed shop is well known before someone accepts employment.

But they certainly like the wages, benefits and protection a CBA has to offer, now dont they?
Sadly under the IAM UsAir amt's were the lowest paid until the merger. They were brought up to average pay. No leapfrogging. The TWU? Man I can't even list the things it did to screw the membership. It's amazing that we AMT'S at AA have made more attempts to dump the TWU than Delta has tried to get any industrial union on the property. That speaks volumes about the employees at Delta Airlines and their desire to unionize. Face it Delta folks are happy without unions. If not they would have been unionized long ago. Card drives are fast if they were to be mad enough and willing enough to seek union representation. Not happening.

I agree.  Was wondering how long this was going to stay off topic. What does any of that have to do with Delta's labor relations???
