Democrats are loyal to the guilty party, who are the very ones carrying out sexual abuse against public school children across America.
Under the legal-aid of the NEA, public school teachers have perpetrated one hundred times the amount of child sexual abuse than any other institution in America.

Between 2001 & 2005, a reported 2,570 public school teachers were punished for “child sexual-abuse.” Another 2,625 public school teachers lost their license to teach.
Between 2007 & 2010 another 2,000 cases of sexual abuse were filed against public school teachers. USA TodayCBS NewsThe Associated PressWashington PostThe Dallas Star and many other countless reports have been filed.
Yet, now Democrats boast about “public teacher support,” and others try in earnest to support them, even as the NEA is protecting predators.

A report by CBS notes that Public Teachers sexual abuse is 100 times that of the Catholic Church. So, it’s more than just a little ironic that Terry McAuliffe proudly lies and claims to be an Irish Catholic.

The sexual offenders are given legal aid by the National Education Association (NEA), so the public schools did nothing. Even when a sexual offender is found guilty and sent to jail, the NEA continues paying the public teacher his pension! Breach of contract be damned. The Teachers Union is abusive enough, and now disrespect the victims by assuring pensions are paid for by the taxpayer will still be paid in full.

Combined, Barack Obama has given the Public School system over $100 Billion dollars of taxpayer money. And what have you gotten for your money? Test scores continue to fall, and drop-out rates continue to soar.

Shortly after his initial bailout of the abusive union, Barack Obama then appointed Kevin Jennings as the School Safety Czar. It later came out that Jennings was a member of NAMBLA (North American Man-Boy Love Association). MAN – BOY love, in the most literal sense.
Apparently, Barack Obama forgot to do a background check, because it was later exposed that Jennings had “improper relations” with a 15 year old boy. Before he could lie to America and say he “did not have sexual relations with that” 15 year old boy, Jennings resigned.

The numbers would be different if those Protestant kids in public schools were sent to Catholic schools.  Public school enrollment is several hundred times the altar boy population, so it's kind of funny to compare them to sex abuse in the Catholic church.

Let's just shut down public schools and give the priests a better pool to pick from.

KC, its quite obvious you did not read the post and then article......they show, in the article that NEA sexual abuse EXCEEDS that of the Catholic religion. By a large margin....

And I am merely pointing out that the sex scandal in the Catholic church involved an overwhelming number of altar boys, that was just a fraction or the Catholic school enrollment.  100 times the number of altar boy victims is less than the average size of a 5th grade class in Milwaukee.

LOL...discount one of the worst perversions of our innocent youth by trusted adults.

Maybe you and your feel good wonks should look at stats, once again from my original link...

"[T]hink the Catholic Church has a problem?" she said. "The physical sexual abuse of students in schools is likely more than 100 times the abuse by priests."

So, in order to better protect children, did media outlets start hounding the worse menace of the school systems, with headlines about a "Nationwide Teacher Molestation Cover-up" and by asking "Are Ed Schools Producing Pedophiles?"

No, they didn't. That treatment was reserved for the Catholic Church, while the greater problem in the schools was ignored altogether.

As the National Catholic Register's reporter Wayne Laugesen points out, the federal report said 422,000 California public-school students would be victims before graduation — a number that dwarfs the state's entire Catholic-school enrollment of 143,000.

Yet, during the first half of 2002, the 61 largest newspapers in California ran nearly 2,000 stories about sexual abuse in Catholic institutions, mostly concerning past allegations. During the same period, those newspapers ran four stories about the federal government's discovery of the much larger — and ongoing — abuse scandal in public schools.

I don't think the issue is abuse in so much as it the cover up and protection of the abusers. Abuse of children will happen. That is an unfortunate fact of life. In the article you quoted it said 2,500 teachers lost their licenses to teach. So at least these adults will not be in the school system to teach and presumably have the sex offender attached to their record. The Catholic Church played the Vatican shuffle with the offenders and actively tried to protect the offenders.

I think the article you linked is incorrect regarding their funding. So far as I have been able to determine they had a $350 million budget of which $290 million was from dues. Not sure where the rest comes from but I have not been able to find any public funding. May be someone else will have better luck. Assuming they are a private organization then like any union who supports the bad apples they can do as they choose.

It also appears that the article is incorrect about Jennings as well. It does not appear that he was ever a member of NAMBLA.

Asking public schools to compete with private is like asking the USPS to compete with FedEx or UPS. It is not their purpose to compete with them.

The NEA is the biggest bunch of rat bastards on two feet. Having had more than a few run ins with their members it has become quite clear their agenda has little if anything to do with educating your child. The NEA exists for the benefit of the NEA and those political hacks it supports.

I'm beginning to think if you sat little Billy & Jane in front of computer screens watching porn they'd be better educated then they would in a public schools.

Nonetheless, Jennings resigned.
