So who's your guess...Ann Coulter?

Nope. She's not only a loud mouth idiot who loves controversy and attention... but way too divisive with harsh judgements. Her arrogance ruins her chances to be effective for him.

I think it could possibly be the ex-CEO of HP...Katirina.

I've heard Kay Bailey Hutchison mentioned as a dark horse VP pick. Lots of varied political experience, but I think the Obots would try to use the fact she's from Texas as a way of (inaccurately) tying her to Bush.

Without a doubt, the Obamessiah is a great orator..... regardless if he's reading his rehearsed speech from his teleprompter or from stone tablets.

Just remember that when you see the 11 point bounce in his polling numbers over the next few days, it's been that way since the 60's. The post convention bounce usually levels off when people start thinking about what they heard...

Normally there's also a bounce when the Veep pick gets named. That didn't happen with Biden. It will be interesting to see who McCain announces tomorrow or Saturday, and whether or not it manages to take some wind out of the post-DNC bounce.

Among the promises flowing from the Obamacropolis stage:

-Cut taxes for 95 percent of "working families" (and a tax increase on those already paying the most taxes).
-Make the nation energy independent in 10 years (2 years after a possible two Obama terms)
-Make hybrid cars more affordable
-"Retool" the fledgling auto industry and create 5 million new jobs in that sector.
-Spend $150 billion on renewable energy
-Give teachers more money
-Provide cheap college to anyone "commits to serving your community."
-Deliver “affordable, accessible health care for every American"
-Hand out paid sick days
-Provide Pension security and social security solvency

I kept waiting for lightning bolts to erupt from his fingertips....

Saying "what" he wants to change is great.

But none of his Sermon on the Mount covered "how" it was going to be funded.... With a questionable economy, taxing corporate profits sounds juicy, but most of us know when you tax corporations, it eventually trickles down to the consumer.

I'm a cynic when it comes to energy independence. Hybrid cars are great, but I'd like to see how he plans to have an airline, rail, or trucking industry.

It's going to be an interesting eight weeks. Fortunately, I'll be on the road for a lot of it...

All I can say is that this convention was nothing short of "AMAZING"!!!

Being the political whore that McCain can be...my guess is that he will pick a female VP so that in his mind...he can also make history and campaign for the WOMEN vote.

It started Wednesday............

I agree ! .....................It was almost like watching an episode of American Idol !

What'll be interesting is to see what McCain "wants" at the GOP convention...perhaps he will elaborate on how HE will

1. Make the country energy independent (more drilling of our 2% world supply) when we use 25% of the worlds oil?

2. Create jobs (tax cut, tax cut, tax cut)....why have so many jobs been lost under Bushies tax cuts that McCain opposed before he embraced them?

3. His plans for alternative fuel cars and other energy sources...will another corporate tax cut insure that the private sector does this on their own? Or will they want additional public subsidies (more government spending)?

4. Explain how to be happy with education when a state university costs 20 grand per year to attend

5. Address health care - the magic "Health Savings Account". All you have to hope is you don't have a major health issue for the next 50 years.

McSame seems to be preaching tax cuts and spending cuts. How will he finance the 100 year war he supports?

Obama said he would find ways to pay for everything without raising taxes on the middle class. I think it great that he is providing incentives to citizens to contribute to community service and/or the military in exchange for education.

fOR EXAMPLE: Currently, average tuition in this country has gone up 50% since 2000 with no relief or tuition stablization in the horizon. I would know I educated one daughter, have a son in his junior year and I'm in school. Interest on subsidized loans is 6.8% for anyone and everyone unless you are in the income bracket making less than $15,000 a year. The interest rate on SUBSIDIZED GOV. LOAN FOR college tuition is more than interest on my automobles and home. And the kicker is that anyone who makes more than $75,000 a year can't right off 1 cent of interest on tution!!!!

How those apples that are in dire need of reform!!!!!

P.S. Obama also stated that no one should lose their pensions while execs in corporations make millions in bonsuses.

WE NEED CHANGE !!!!!!! HUGE CHANGE!!!!!!

If you want socialist programs like health care and tuition, the middle class had better be prepared to pay for it.

Every time a company raises its prices to cover tax liabilities, or a company closes up shop and moves to Mexico, it results in a "tax" on the middle class. It's not labeled a tax, but the net effect is they're passing money collected from you to the government.

The US already has one of the highest tax rates for corporations globally. We have one of the lowest personal tax rates of the first world nations. Sometime you gotta tell people the truth instead of what they want to hear.

And sometimes you got to do more than just repeat what the party line is saying. Tuition going up is a tax on the people who pay the taxes. How can people ever get into a higher tax bracket if they can not afford to go to school? President Bush even reduced the amount of government backed loans. Now these are loans that the student pays back but the government garrentees (sp) they pay it back in exchange for a lower interest rate. Now you may say that people do not pay these loans back but that is not true. You can not get out of paying these loans back not even through bankruptcy. These loans have allowed me to continue my education and thousands of others. Also healthcare is another tax on the people and some can afford it and many can not. I do not think as wealthy as our nation is we should have healthcare for the rich and let the poor suffer. Just my 2 cents.
