Bargaining Chip?

Funny the M&R have been unionized at US since 1949, fleet only since 1995.

I was a member otf the M&R NC, Fleet had nothing to do with out negotiations and no one from their NC was involved with our negotiations and vice versa.

Seems to me you have M&R envy.

Bargaining chip is what we are no matter what kind of spin you put on it. What is there to envy? Nothing at all. The IAM played their other "chip" and it was utility and now we are the only chip they have left to play. Time has nothing to do with it so get off you IAM high horse and come back to reality.

Don't let the facts get in you way.

I love how you all make things up.

I was on the M&R NC, we could not reach a deal, the company got our CBA abgorated in court, the company gave the membership a final offer to vote on which eliminated line utility, the MEMBERSHIP ratified it.

Don't let the facts get in your way!

By the way when I was on the committee I was Utility!

Yea whatever I guess you can't stand the FACT that your beloved IAM sold you and all the other utility out.

Don't let the FACTS get in your way!!!!

Guess you cant comprehend what an CBA abrogation is?

And therein lies the rub. That should not matter a whit (remember the "strength in unity" BS?), yet EVERY M&R points to it. What you mean is fleet deserves a lesser contract than M&R. Should mechs make a higher wage? Absolutely. Should they have better contract enforcement, better pension plans, etc? Nobody at fleet things so, but everybody at M&R thinks so. IF IAM had been honest about what they had planned for fleet, you would have never won the election. IAM chose deception to win.

Again, BS. Every NC, AGC, etc. answers to Roach, and not one of them has the portfolio to act indepently. Say you otherwise?

I don't call it envy to ask for what I paid for. Seems to me thou doth protest too much.

All I have to say is good luck to FS in CLT, with MC on the committee you will need it.

Hey 700, I am back on board to ask you some serious questions! Why are you so convinced everyone needs luck because Mike C is a new committe man? You don't even work for Usairways anymore, so you don't have a clue whats really happening on the property!!

You actually gave the IAM a bad name when they fired you for taking vacation and claiming it under union lost time. Everyone on this board deserves to know what you did and your manipulative background. You abused your union priveledges and tried to take Tony G ( mech GC ) down with you. He was smart to put your dumb arse out to pasture!! You , like the upper leaders of the IAM is part of the problem with the system!!

Every time there is change within the local you put a negative spin on it. Even 2 years ago you slammed the new M&R grievance committee members and your predictions were wrong then. 1 of the new guys stepped up and has been doing a fine job. Now you are condemming new 141 grievance members before they have a chance to prove themselves!!

OK, moderator, this is my advance apology!! (edited by moderator- you were ok up to there)
Mike: send me a PM!!

You were on the committee as a communicator!! You have NO negotiation skills!

You couldn't negotiate your way out of a wet paper bag!! 😱

I back Mike 100% and the others too.

All of fleet service needs to support your new committee 100% !!

You guys need to step up and sign up as stewards and help out from the bottom up.

The local lodge has an excellent stewards training class that everyone can take advantage of.

There is no majic here, but if the new committee actually is on the property for fleet, that would be a great start. But everyone needs to understand that usair mangemnet and labor relations are still a bunch of A holes looking to screw the membership!!

Mike Crowell is solid and the workers who voted him in are wise. Shame on 700 for his continued and relentless attacks on fleet service threads against fleet service people.

700, kindly move on with your life and stop your 'bizarre & disturbing' anger on the fleet service threads, flight attendant threads, and pilot threads. You are not the expert on all things. BTW, Tom isn't the math whiz you make him out either, his 'reagonomics' and 'trickle down tom' numbers are the equivalence of an entry level accounting assistant. Once we had 'top people' analyze the last contact and give us the real breakdowns, the outcome was inevitable.

regards,

Tom is the pension expert for US Airways, I have worked with him and seen him in action.

Have you ever worked with Tom in negotiations?

Tom can cost out every item in a CBA and knows his stuff, he negotiated the IAM/US MTI CBA, go take a look at it, during BK II he was the only IAM Negotiator to reach a fair and equitable deal for his MTI represented employees.

Fair and equitable for who? The cities are divided into two rates of pay, we dont get paid for sick days. Sorry not very fair or equitable.
As for you boys in CLT thinking you now have some clout. Please remember one thing when you begin to negotiate. Rember the hubs arent Gods the smaller stations are the backbone.
Just FYI.
