Not to start a bashing thread here, but after reading the posts about the PHL crew lounge, I started thinking about the state of rest rooms adjacent to every crew lounge in the East system.

PHL: downright scary. Last time I was there, three urinals had plastic bags over them, a couple of doors were missing from stalls and the sinks hadn't been cleaned in what appears to be years.

CLT: The men's room on in the pilot lounge is OK, but the one adjacent to the F/A lounge is worse than PHL. The walls are painted black to keep people from writing graffiti, tile missing from the wall, toilet seat missing from one stall (not that you'd actually want to sit your ass on one if it was there, but still...).

What does it take to get management to do something about this?

I believe that the restrooms are maintained by the airport authority. There was some action by one flight attendant she contacted the department of health, had photos and everything…

That's how the regular restrooms for pax in PHL are too.

The city is responsible for CLT breakrooms and lavs. But all people using the facilities should do their part in keeping them clean. Walk through the ABR breakroom after the last push, I would not let my dog stay in there, papers thrown all over the floor, cup and cans laying all over the place.

Thats just to show you with all the pigs we work with and live with in this world  . I always ask myself this question, who ever does these things, are they like that at their house??? Now supposely with proper maintenece and people not being pigs and not writing the walls, the bathroom shouldn't get like that.

The customer restrooms at PHL and CLT are pretty nasty too.

One benefit of the US Club membership: slightly cleaner restrooms.

who ever said the phx ramp restrooms where no good i don't know where you've been droping bombs but there just fine , sure there not "pretty" like they are upstairs , but their by no means dirty . Look if you want a really GREAT bathroom experince when your in PHX you need to go over to that one bathroom by the british airways lounge... now THAT's something to see .

Dude, if you are sitting on the toilet seats, especially in A-side ramp breakroom, you'd better get hepatitis shots. There is some shi'ite that will enter your buttocks through the process of osmosis. I prefer the less-traveled areas like the Intl concourse. Have any of those guys on the ramp learned to flush? Have any learned to wash their hands when they have finished? Am I the only one that follows toilet etiquette?
