I'm not one to pick up anything on ETB since I put all trips for DROP, but I can't help reading some of the funny comments people post to entice others.

1. Please help because my son/daughter/cat has.....(and this relates to me how?)

2. Highest time trip! (Why would I want to fly 30 legs in 4 days?)

3. Best trip in base! (Says who?)

4. This hotel has free breakfast, cable, wireless, and newspapers. (Very tempting indeed)

5. Offering 100 hugs, thanks, smackintheazzes. (Now we're talking!)

I really love it when someone posts all of their trips for drop under one selection. Who in the heck is able to pick up all five trips at once?

One time there was a 1 day in by 3pm for December 24th and said "Hey Reserves, pick up this trip and you're guaranteed off Christmas!" Oh really??? lol! How bout that time the one f/a wrote "FOR BLOCK HOLDERS ONLY!"

That is when you pick it up anyway to pi$$ them off. And then give it to a friend.

Then you NEVER pick up one of their trips ever again because you obviously aren't good enough to work "their" great trips. So, when they really need off.....they are screwed!!!!

Are y'all allowed to put money on your trips? Just curious. We can and do out here in the west. Over the holidays, especially christmas it's not uncommon to see 4 day trips with upwards of $400-$500 cash on them. Last year one went for $700. :blink:

Technically we are NOT allowed.

We just disguse it as 50 thank yous etc......

On the gate side, people put swaps up on the board and say stuff like

Earn Extra ca$h - I need $aturday and $unday off because my child is having wisdom teeth out (on a sat or sun?) Will pay back another day or $omething el$e

THANk$!!!

But sometimes, there is really funny stuff up there, I just can't think of one right now.....The West is able to put their swaps in the computer and have whomever pick them up...the East is really lacking there on the WorkBrain front....

And also, I'm with the Gyno person....sometimes you have to schedule it like 6 mos in advance!!!
