US320 you said PIT would be losing about 8 flights with the August schedule and you were right on the mark.
Do you know how many flights PIT will be losing in November ?

According to the AFA MEC, 60 aircraft will be leaving the fleet by Feb 2006.

If my memory serves me correctly from the bankruptcy court filing, I believe at the end of February 2006 the fleet count will be 221. At the end of October the fleet will be about 240 aircraft. US Airways' current pre-merger fleet plan is scheduled for 11 more B737s to be removed I believe in 2009, but there is a caveat that says GECAS can force the release of these aircraft starting in June 2007, with 1 aircraft returned per month through May 2008.

This is the end of current scheduled reductions and will create a fleet count of 210 aircraft (pre-merger

Heard this the other day that the count does not include the MDA aircraft. Not 100% sure since it was not in writing by the company.

I do not believe the November schedule change has been completed and the fleet count excludes MDA. The first EMB-170 will be transferred in October and then about 3 aircraft per month will be transferred to Republic.

So, if the US fleet keeps shrinking, and flying on the US side continues to be drawn down, AND the fences the US people are touting to sell DOH to the HP people are put in place, what effect will this have on the US-side employees?

I think we are seeing the organized liquidation of US.

No, these darn young couples are so health-conscious they've quit giving candy to their babies; so, there's nothing to steal. And, my gout is so bad from all the rich food we eat on AA (if I have one more roasted vegetable pizza, I'll croak!) that I can't kick very well anymore.
