so if fleet service becomes OSM'S and their seniority is 9/12/2012 is sam the first to get laid off? or does he collect $12,500 get a new buick and goes to the international wirth hewit-less? how does this work?

If you were to ask a decent question you may get a straight answer instead of speculation and sarcastic answers.

wow hey Lorraine touch a nerve there? tynker you wouldn't be sam now would you? Lorraine

Lorraine and then Sam ? lol,`What kind of freaky stuff you into bud? Touch a nerve? Not in the least and no I am not Sam but I do know him and that is why I said if you were to have asked a decent question you may have gotten a straight answer instead of what is probably going to get added to this thread. Oh yeah and Hewitt was only nominated for an executive board slot for International. A position that is less than part time meeting once a quarter I do believe with maybe a Buick from the rental car agency when he would have flown in for meetings. Unfortunately Local 100 were able to retain their slots by their members getting voted in, thought you knew that you seem so informed.

I guess if Sam is reelected, it is possible that he could wind up in say San Antonio, which falls under TWU Local - 514. Therefore he would not have to relocate as would his peers.

If he were to bump San Antonio yes he would have to relocate but not physically until he were to lose an election if he were to choose to run again. I seen you refer to this before, is there a reason?

Yes, given that the TUL Fleet Service was decimated and no other Title group was given an option to stay on even by changing title groups, perhaps Sam should have to shoulder what he wanted in the contract for every one else?

How do you figure Fleet Service is the only one that can switch? The only way they can is if they need OSMs and then it will be just like it always has been and they can come in with day one title seniority right along with the new hires. That is the only way they can come over so I am not sure what you are insinuating

Not trying to start a p!$$!ng contest here but the rumors I'm hearing are that fleet will be made into a different seperate title group altogether. They wont be title 1 or labeled OSM but will do the work of OSMs or possibly cabin crew work. Their title will be under title 1's.

Yeah I heard that too ! They will be "Title 1.5" and they get a P.O.U. Snap-On Box full of tools as a new title bonus. Nah just kidding. No offense but you should really get some new sources for your rumors. They give you way too much bad information ie. New Cel Phone rules and sending people home on engine run night etc.

That's funny cause we had to do a read and sign about PEDs Thursday. So rumor? Negative. Are you not in Tulsa? Did your CC not get the letter from management stating that someone had let the cat out of the bag by telling the rumors I posted. Because they are waiting to put some of them into effect at a later date. Tync you gotta get out once in awhile and see what's going on. You in a shop or hangar?

You must be in one of the only areas on base that has a ban on Cel Phones because the rest of the base has a ban in the shadow of the aircraft hence while you are working on the aircraft. What your read and sign may have been is a reminder that entertainment electronics are not allowed, nothing new just reminders as they do from time to time.

Our letter stated on company time. If our area is the only ones being singled out I'll find out tonight.

Never one to readily agree with tink but so far only rumors haven't had anything enforced on 5&6

Fleet Service, what is left of them are to continue working in their current areas as the attrite out. Why would the need for OSM's affect Fleet Service. An A&P Mechanic can be degraded just as easy as upgrading a Fleet Service Clerk. I am glad that you corrected me on their seniority, I thought maybe they would retain their Title seniority and slide right over. I said that Fleet was the only one given an option, I never said no other could or couldn't.
