That was the case LBO 1. I was told it changed to where the attrite agreement was not included in LBO 2 for whatever reason but Gillespie failed to tell anyone until the vote was over. I don't know all the minor details or if the Gillespie thing is 100% true, just what I was told. In short all the base hangar fleet service jobs go away with the terminal jobs. The way I understand it they have a number of mechanics that they need so anyone that is a mechanic above that amount will be given the option to downgrade to whatever the new designation for displaced mechanic is if they can not bump the system or do not want to. If they need more OSMs than what they get from that then they will have to hire off the street or fleet can take the positions or any stock clerks that are affected I would guess.Fleet Service, what is left of them are to continue working in their current areas as the attrite out. Why would the need for OSM's affect Fleet Service. An A&P Mechanic can be degraded just as easy as upgrading a Fleet Service Clerk. I am glad that you corrected me on their seniority, I thought maybe they would retain their Title seniority and slide right over. I said that Fleet was the only one given an option, I never said no other could or couldn't.
