I thought it might be nice to have a separate thread for Dining and Cabin issues.
I've never understood why we don't offer the specialty drinks like the Mai Tai's on our regular flights. Or why don't we bring back the White Zinfendal and Margaritas. The passengers ask for them all the time.
It seems to me that would sell like gang busters on the island flights. Or anywhere else for that matter.

Wouldn't that actually require a Marketing Department as opposed the current "Bend the Customer Over and Gouge them one more time Department" ?
Make money by adding value? What a novel concept
Those of us who work Hawaii a lot were pretty jazzed a few months back when we finally got the speciality drinks (Mai Tai's, Blue Hawaiian, Pomegranate Margaritas, etc.) . Unfortunately, they went over like a lead balloon. We are provisioned with 48 in coach and 24 in First. With the Hawaiian themed meals in First you might serve one or two (since they are free) but in the back, hardly ever (at $8.00 each). I just got back from Maui today and worked B position in the aft galley, so did all the accounting. This was the grand total of speciality drinks sold in coach and comped in 1st:I've never understood why we don't offer the specialty drinks like the Mai Tai's on our regular flights. <SNIP> (who wants a Margarita made with wine instead of tequila?)

This was announced 2 weeks ago; where have y'all been?
look what happen if you google "piedmont punch":Bring back Piedmont Punch and sell it as a specialty drink. ($7 extra if you want it spiked.)
Yummy! The perfect thing to wash down a tuna burrito.
You are spot ON!! Friggin give them at least a cold turkey sandwich, or caesar salad!!! IS it that too hard to offer on flights with snackboxes, 2hrs??? Hector?Well if these new items being introduced sell like the current snack items they'll go over well. Sure you have flights here and there where you don't sell that much but overall I find myself selling those items left and right. There has even been shortages of items as per a few caterers in PHL who apologize for restocking the carriers with half the items. I don't think the company anticipated the sales of the individual items to be that high. Now, with all that said I STILL, STILL, STILL to this day don't understand why nothing is served up front on flights to Florida when the snack box is offered for sale in coach. As Doug said himself when addressing the question with Shambles when she was still here, "If you have time to SELL in coach you have time to SERVE in first. It still makes me wanna crawl under a rock working first class when the f/a in back makes the announcement about food for sale. It usually happens as I'm out in the aisle offering the same old snacks from the wilted basket. What a slap in the face to be a first class passenger on a full fare ticket being offered that CRAP while coach gets a choice to buy a meal. It's BS. If they're spending that much for a seat up front OR flew enough to GET the G'damn upgrade they should be offered something. HECTOR ARE YA LISTENING? HELLOOOOOOOOOO! ! ! !
