Just received a phone call from a friend who is flying down to HHH tomorrow. US cancelled his flight that connected from CLT, but put him on a non-stop PIT-SAV -- only 40 miles from HHH. Hurricane Charley is expected to roll through the HHH/SAV area around 2:30 AM Saturday. I expect there will be delays. But why cancel this flight and not SAV too? Is there a problem with the HHH airport? Just curious. Thanx.

The service into HHH is express, but there is mainline service to SAV. That
may one of the reasons.

Weather Mins for landing in HHH are much higher than SAV, they might just be aticipating a weather issue and filling up the SAV flights while they still can.
