For Adults Only!

Right, first you manufacture a lie, then you go to congress.

Where's the lie?

Ultra Liberal Dennis Kucinich & Libertarian Ron Paul stated the exact same thing when commenting on the supreme leader of the Democratic Peoples Republic of Barackistan. You usually can't get those two guys to agree on lunch must less anything else.

Had he violated the COTUS I think there would be a slightly bigger stink. The right would be raising hell. Kucinich and Paul are ignoring the War Powers resolution. The
Resolution requires the President to notify Congress within 48 hours of committing armed forces to military action and forbids armed forces from remaining for more than 60 days, with a further 30 day withdrawal period, without an authorization of the use of military force or a declaration of war

The resolution allows the POTUS to act quickly when force is needed with out having to wait for Congress to get their act together.

We went into Lybia to get all those weapons of mass destruction. 😛

Worked the first time.

OK you need to step slowly away from the Jameson's Sir! Put down the glass with your hands where we can see them.

What you just said is you that George Bush and Barack Obama share the same morals values & ethics when it comes to sending troops into harms way. Ergo Obama is neither better nor worse than Bush?

Watched Tom Coburn and Chris Van Hollen on FNS this morning. Coburn seemed to be the adult in the room. He made some particularly bold statements about revenue and medicare/medicaid. I liked when he said:

"What the country needs to hear from the leaders in Washington is that we understand how big this problem is and that we’re wiling to lose elections to do what’s best for the country and that’s what’s not happening now," Coburn said on "Fox News Sunday."

I think it can be safely said that the goal/job of most politicians it to get re-elected. All efforts are made to achieve that goal. Any benefit to the society that they should be serving is merely happenstance.

We all wrapped up on this adult thing now....?

What your opinion of the first child then?? I mean President 😛

I did not say that all Tea Party caucus members were radicals.

If I inferred that, then I apologize. I meant that he needed to control the radical Tea Party members.

Could you please describe a "Tea Party Radical" for me? I would like to know the difference btween them and "Tea Party Regulars"and do you think the "radicals" make up a significant portion of the Tea Party?

No one is going to do whats needed. I'd start by

- Flat rate tax of about 10% on all income (not just W2). No deductions. May be 15% or 20% for corporations who do business on US soil (May be then GE will pay some tax).

Almost 50% of income earners do not pay any income tax. How easy do you think it is to get those non-payers to ante up more than they are paying now?

Radicals do not make up a significant portion of the Tea Party. I never said that. There are radical's in any group.

The Tea Party radical, or just an ignorant fool?:

Of course I could just call this person an idiot, racist, birther, and be more accurate. I don't think this person or anyone else of this ilk is a representative of the movement. Just as those progressives who act just as foolishly represent the Democrats, or the liberal wing of the the Democratic party.

How about a 10%-15% flat rate tax for those earning above $25k a year? No deductions and it covers all income, not just W2 based income.

Perhaps the 'radical tea party folks' are similar to the moral majority? They were neither moral nor the majority but the certainly were vocal and got quite a bit done at the peak of their power.

I would say that this Paul Ryan guy is definitely one of them. More than wiling to cut nearly every public aid program with out so much as touching the defense entitlements.

If he wants to show that he is really trying to cut the budget lets see him (or any one else from any belief) offer to cut 10% across the board. Then I want to see him/her offer up a Congress pay cut, loss of publicly funded healthcare and retirement benefits for Members of Congress and any elected/appointed position in government. Then repeat the following years as necessary.

Till someone offers that or something similar, they are all just running for office and pandering to their constituents (either the poor/getting poor or businesses, take your pick).
