I think he should choose Palin as his running mate. They would be a shoe in.
"There's no question at times of my life, partially driven by how passionately I felt about this country, that I worked far too hard and things happened in my life that were not appropriate. And what I can tell you is that when I did things that were wrong, I wasn't trapped in situation ethics, I was doing things that were wrong, and yet, I was doing them."

In an interview with Fox News Sunday in late March, he reiterated that he believes God has forgiven him for his mistakes, but he acknowledged that he might not receive the same treatment from voters. He called questions about his character "legitimate"—though he said he hoped voters will "put into context" his personal behavior with the larger span of his career and his current marriage.

So far the RNC line up is like a bad reality show. Do you guys have anyone better or are you just going to give the 2012 election away again?

Better then Obama?

Lets revisit this thread come Nov 2012. I will take great joy to see you cry like a little ####.

Gas and unemployment numbers stay as they are and the RNC could put up the assistant Janitor of the Westonka Middle School and win. One thing that would be way cool would be for Herman Cain to win. Imagine a Black, Conservative REPUBLICAN, Former Businessman as President!!! That awful stench would be from every Democrat crapping thier pants.

It would be worth it just to watch Jesse Jackson & Al Sharpton commit suicide

IMO Newt doesn't stand much of a chance, but we shall see. I recall not to long ago that there was a "pale rider" that came out of a fractured party primary race to capture not only his parties nomination but managed to serve two terms as President (and a pretty good one). Anybody recall a guy named Clinton? it's way way early and Newt was quite a politician in his day. Let's see if he has some of the magic left. I think he's running on empty myself.

I heard Cain. I'll pass. He is no friend of the environment. Definitely a friend of big business. Way to big on religion.

He will appeal to the more extreme right but I don't think he will appeal to the center where elections are won.

So far, Obama looks like a shoe in.

Stand by my prediction. Gas is $5/gal or close to it, or higher and unemployment is in the 8% range Barack Obama is TOAST and the Republicans are the butter. I don't know if the Republican victory in the House is the beginning of a trend or a one time thing. Globally more and move conservatives are rising to power. Who knows????

Neither. It's a cycle. They will rise (some time) and then they will fall. And then the cycle will repeat with different players.

Sounds to me like someones leg is still "Tingley" ! This country could use a "Business Man" right now and not a "Community Organizer" !

So your saying that the same independent voters that crushed the democrats via historic losses in 2010 are somehow going to re-elect Obama in 2012? Seriously?

And lets apply the famous liberal talking point to liberals themselves:
Since Herman Cain is black and you don't like him that means you are a racist.

Liberals live in a fantasy land where nobody changes their behavior in response to govt policy. It's truly bizarre.

There's a bit of irony attached to one GOP candidate and one potential GOP candidate. The before mentioned Newt Gingrich and Donald Trump. In 1992 the GOP tried to make an issue of Bill Clintons draft deferments and personal life. Now it comes out that Donald Trump despite his claims of a high draft number actually had multiple deferments totally unrelated to his draft number. Then there's Newt's personal life, while Bill will never win husband of the year he would if running against Newt.

I think I mentioned this before. It's the case of "if my guy does it it's OK, if your guy does it, he is scum". The fact that Regan never served was not an issue. The fact that Clinton never did was. The fact that Bush was guarding IN was not an issue, the fact that there were some questions about Kerry's Purple Heart while serving in Viet Nam was an issue. Clinton gets a hummer ... bad. Gingrich maried 3 times and cheats on #2 with #3 ... aw chucks .... ain't no big deal.

This is funny.

“I am convinced that if we do not decisively win the struggle over the nature of America, by the time [my grandchildren are] my age they will be in a secular atheist country, potentially one dominated by radical Islamists and with no understanding of what it once meant to be an American.” [Address to Cornerstone Church in Texas, March 2011]
