As SWA brings on aircraft they have to increase heads. It's not rocket science. AMFA only increases its miniscule headcount because of more planes...its ridiculous scope language does not generate more work/heads.

Your grassroots organizing efforts and collection of Authorization for Representation cards in favor of AMFA is still ongoing with favorable interest and results. We have written to you before about the career impacts arising from the merger of two carriers and most of you responded – AMFA now has signed authorization cards from over 50% of the Aviation Maintenance Technicians of Spirit Airlines. In fact, the number of cards signed by Spirit AMTs would constitute a majority of AMTs at a combined Spirit-Frontier carrier.
Nevertheless, you now have a different suitor knocking at your door – JetBlue. And in terms of numbers, the JB maintenance workforce exceeds that of Spirit. Now – prior to merger or acquisition – is the time to obtain a unified collective voice.
A seniority integration process is in your future; a process that will impact every aspect of your working life: access to travel benefits, your shift and days off, the station where you work, and – in the event of furloughs – your job security.

As we all know the newly fired up card drive for AMFA at AA is underway yet again. Now the organizers are fully armed with the total numbers required, now that the NMB and co and (yes) even the corrupted TWU screwing the Mechanics at AA, this card drive kicked off on Nov 2021. So good luck to you all at AA again.

AS the campaigns for AMFA representation are picking up greatly I do predict 2 positive outcomes quickly with Sun Country and Spirit getting their votes done first. Then more than likely we should see the JetBlue Mechanics getting their final cards in to help bring in the MC's that will be included at their carrier, maybe by end of summer (my guess only). Then my prediction that the AA'ers will come in by late in the year and hopefully a new vote will come by early next year.

With all these airlines reaching out for the Class and Craft specific AMFA representational union, maybe National needs to get a full time person in charge of looking and dealing with all of the interest IF not already done at the upper levels. This incoming growth for AMFA is wonderful and great for enforcing the strength of the AMFA membership. It is very clear that the Airline Mechanic industry is turning to AMFA for their representation. They have seen and watched AMFA at work at all the other currently represented airlines grow their Class and Craft and increase the pay and QOL issues greatly that they are now in full force attracting AMFA to their carriers.

What are the other "industrial unions doing? Well they are getting smaller and smaller for sure. Heck, even the TWU at AA is trying to kick out and take over the IAM. TWU is also trying to do a "REVENGE" card drive at SWA, where all the mechanics are laughing their arses off at. The TWU's actions will backfire big time on them in the long run, wait see...
 
How come AMFA has constant and unending problems with the carriers they represent? Those personal battles cause the Lawfirm of Seeham, Seeham, Meltz and Peterson to bill (bilk) AMT’s of hundreds of thousands of their dues dollars yearly. Can anyone ever site me ANY examples where AMFA (SSMP) and SWA ever worked together for the common good?

Hi Swampy. Hope you ate your Weaties today. Hey listen I just wanted to give you a heads up cause you’re just a little off there. We had a new seniority roster put out on April 1 and I checked it for you. I know AMFA guys only care about AMT’s so I’ll only share those numbers with you now.

Total AMT and AMT Crew Chief count 10,535. And that doesn’t count all the “And Related” Maintenance groups that you guys like to pretend don’t exist. That’s about another 6,000 FYI. So around 16,000 total M&R (And growing)

Aren’t you guys still under a measly 3000?

My prediction (In swampy’s mind) AMFA will inevitably gain all the left over LCC’s, then they will take AA, moving next to envelope UAL before finally moving on to a “resistance is futile” campaign absorbing Delta into the AMFA collective. From there AMFA will spread out Internationally and conquer the World. All Airline CEO’s will cringe at the mighty power wielded by the AMFA warriors wrenches. 😂

And jetblue just announced large pay increases for their maintenance group this week so there goes that other false claim that they are signing AMFA cards because they want a union...they don't. One day you'll stop swallowing Bret's lies.

The other sad part about all of these fake AMFA filings particularly for those not yet represented is that they stall any chance for them to become organized through “REAL” card drives. Obviously though we know that the Seeham Law Group and their paid puppet Bret and his board don’t care though. Why should they since they already got there’s.

On another issue, this comment of Bret (SSMP) hoping that Spirit management doesn’t add to the class and craft against those they filed for is another absolute complete load of malarkey.
