I suspect that the 777s will be overhauled in HKG or PEK or PVG or SIN or ICN or somewhere else in Asia. If need be, someone will build an additional hangar. How many AA 777s are overhauled at the same time? Unless the MROs increase their wages, I don't think they will be able to attract enough AMTs to take over all of the vacated space. As Bob Owens has posted, the FAA is issuing very few A&P tickets and hard-working mechanics can generally earn more money fixing something other than airplanes at almost any employer other than airlines.
Find a way to get a handle on your stress brother. FSC here at ORD had a grabber two days ago while at work. His coworkers said he was reviewing the companies ask at the time.
Could be true, however the 757's coming back from TIMCO seem to be having their own issues.....Didn't the 777 just come back to AFW from being worked at Tulsa? They have the docks, the schedule was an issue which is why it came back to AFW, but I don't think anyone in management cares about quality, on-time maintenance at this point.

No one, including the TWU has defined what a AMT is.The union now says 4300 amt's will hit the street.
