An agent told me that this scenario keeps playing out:

US Agent: "This flight is due out in thirty minutes and we have to be on time"

AWA Rep: "You have to use SHARES.. don't worry about on time."

A heartfelt attempt is made to use SHARES but there are problems.

US: "I'm going to have to do it by hand... the flight is due out in fifteen minutes."

AWA Rep: "Use SHARES!"

US Rep: "This flight is the morning bank... IT HAS TO LEAVE ON TIME!"

AWA Rep: "USE SHARES AND DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE TIME!

The flight is delayed slightly and the agents continue their discussion with the AWA Rep about on time versus learning SHARES. They are caught between a rock and a hard place.

IMHO
1) Comp will fail miserably on OT departure's.
2) DOT stats , US will fall miserably to the bottom
3) Baggage will continue to be problematic.
