Yes, and 196 was an airbus, thank goodness.
Point taken: at least it was better to reduce the load as oppossed to cancelling the flight. It would have taken hours for the parts to come from PHX. All connections were rebooked by the HP team at the gate.
Can't the part come from PIT,CLT or PHL?Point taken: at least it was better to reduce the load as oppossed to cancelling the flight. It would have taken hours for the parts to come from PHX. All connections were rebooked by the HP team at the gate.
Well I worked an east 757 last night. The first one with the winglets and I don't think ANYTHING worked on that damn thing. One of the most horrible I have been on in some time. I sure hope they are going to do MORE than just put the envoy seats in. That baby needs a serious overhaul inside. I know it was going in for maintenance last night after we got off in CLT.
That post just gave me indigestion. What the &$$& is going on????I think another poster is right...we were known as America Worst back in 2000, seems we are repeating that year with the NEW US Airways!
East has plenty of 757 parts on the east coast the do operate over 20 of them with plenty of spare parts, guess no one thought to check with US/East MTC Control on parts availability.
East has the first 757s ever produced, they came from EA.
Oh it flew great it was everything in the cabin that was falling apart.Hmmmmmm guess I need to look at that thing a little closer on pre-flight----ex A/C 632 with winglets---updated FMC---HF'S -- Heavy GTOW configuration--only 7 will get winglets---flew the CLT RNAV depart on 36R as a test with TRACON and all worked great !
