PHOENIX, March 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- America West Airlines (NYSE: AWA - News), the nation''s second largest low-fare carrier, announced today that it will initiate new daily, nonstop service between its Phoenix hub and Cancun, Mexico, on June 1, 2003. Customers in Phoenix and 12 other cities in the western U.S. will be able to take advantage of this new service to enjoy the powdery sand beaches, warm blue water, sensational shopping, sport fishing, snorkeling and diving available in this beautiful Caribbean city.
America West is pleased to add Cancun to our impressive portfolio of nonstop flights from Phoenix to Mexican beach and business communities. Cancun is a natural fit for us and provides our customers another luxurious and beautiful vacation destination, said Dion Flannery, vice president, scheduling and route planning. Assume they'll be taking the slightly longer, Mexican Gulf coast-hugging route, as we discussed earlier?

Especially in March/April. But one does not want to go there during those months unless one is under 25 anyway--which I'm assuming you're not, eh "Retiree"?

Actually, I will be 39 tomorrow, and I plan on being like Jack Benny and holding on to 39 for a long time!
