O.K. Let the games begin!
Been watching this site two years. IAM has "Befuddled! mechanics AND fleet with US airways. And who knows how many other airlines.
How, does the AWA mechanic relate to East mechanics as to what ever you have be given in respects to representation and outword help! Lately, we heard new mechanics in Phoenix have been challenged by the company trying to work on related repairs and there is very little help from IAM.
Could it be IAM needs to clarify their position for ALL mechanics in this merge. OR is everyone confused as this board conveys as to how much the true IAM has to help mechanics(west or east) or (fleet, east/west). There is never any concise conclusions for any group.
I personally think this group at IAM are a bunch of DIMWITS! An old term for confused, but really in charge, nobodies.

"Read the M&R CBA any of them from 1989 and up and show me where there is a ME-TOO clause."

"The only benefit from the only me-too clause M&R had was the 401K match which was and still is free money"

Thank you for your support! B)

Yes We Have 8 Mechanics That Are on Administrative Leave & Approximately (18) On the HIT List. Awaiting Termination or When the Holidays are Over & the Company Decides to Stop Waisting Money & Allow there safe Return. The FAA Have Been Investigating The Problems & have Found Nothing Wrong with Three Mechanic's Thus Far. Termination Papers are Written & Waiting for the FULL Investigation process.
The IAM Has Currently Scheduled Meeting's In Phx AZ with An FAA Investigator, December 10 & 11,2007. Now some of these Mechanics have Been Laid Off For Before Thanks Giving. The Process Takes along time. --------->
Anyone else with Updates?

Hey Brothers! Now that Edward has divided the Mechanics and Fleet we can see MORE division! We are with you brothers and sisters. The IAM created this division. It is real clear! AWA was united and now we have become SO divided. Fleet will be up there Dec 10th with our support and questions. United Fleet/Mechanics and Related.

I don't know all the guys that are suspended but the ones I do know are over 15 years with the company and very good mechanics. Maybe if they quit blowing off the work when the planes are in c-check, we would not be finding so much during ron's.

Oh ya, regarding that so-called "hit list" in PHX, according a HR person (we won't mention her name) everyone who is on that list is strickly line techs. No hanger (OTS, Shop, etc) techs are being targeted. <_<

Can anyone enlighten us on the circumstances surrounding the terminations? All we've heard in the East are vague references to the discovery of cracks in a gear well and the company's aparent dissatisfaction with this discovery. Details anyone?

Yes The Current Info is that there have Been 24 Tech's that Have Been "Interrogated" By US AIRWAYS Management for Working on AIRCRAFT OUT OF THERE SCOPE AREA,?Some Quote's were, "Its Cheaper to Place Certain People on Administrative Leave than Have Them WORKING On Aircraft @ US AIRWAYS During the HOILDAYS. INTIMIDATION, . One Tech Was Servicing HYD's & Noticed a Crack in the Wheel well Where he was Working, @ Eye Level.
There Were some Inlet cowls that were Delaminated, & Certain tech's were sent Home. There WERE NO TERMINATIONS YET. THE TECHs are Being PAID & are on Administrative LEAVE.PENDING TERMINATION.

According to a GLR, Dave Supplee Head of Flight Safety for the IAM at US has been out to PHX and the 10 had their hearings this week.
