Lately, we heard new mechanics in Phoenix have been challenged by the company trying to work on related repairs and there is very little help from IAM.
I don't know all the guys that are suspended but the ones I do know are over 15 years with the company and very good mechanics. Maybe if they quit blowing off the work when the planes are in c-check, we would not be finding so much during ron's.
Can anyone enlighten us on the circumstances surrounding the terminations? All we've heard in the East are vague references to the discovery of cracks in a gear well and the company's aparent dissatisfaction with this discovery. Details anyone?Lately, we heard new mechanics in Phoenix have been challenged by the company trying to work on related repairs and there is very little help from IAM.
Could it be IAM needs to clarify their position for ALL mechanics in this merge. OR is everyone confused as this board conveys as to how much the true IAM has to help mechanics(west or east) or (fleet, east/west). There is never any concise conclusions for any group.
Yes We Have 8 Mechanics That Are on Administrative Leave & Approximately (18) On the HIT List. Awaiting Termination or When the Holidays are Over & the Company Decides to Stop Waisting Money & Allow there safe Return. The FAA Have Been Investigating The Problems & have Found Nothing Wrong with Three Mechanic's Thus Far. Termination Papers are Written & Waiting for the FULL Investigation process.
The IAM Has Currently Scheduled Meeting's In Phx AZ with An FAA Investigator, December 10 & 11,2007. Now some of these Mechanics have Been Laid Off For Before Thanks Giving. The Process Takes along time. --------->
