I as a U employee feel sorry for you at AWA because of the recent appointments of vp of labor relations and maintenence. The strides you have made will soon be wiped away. Our maint. department is a case study in ineffiency brought on by management and I know you are aware of how moral is here. If not you will be! Most of the people I talk to were trying to give Mr. Parker the benefit of the doubt. But that has faded with the recent turn of events. I hope he is only using them to get through the merger until he can get "qualified" replacements. Hopefully that is the case. If not your honeymoon is over. Good Luck. The End

What I'm sorry about is that AWA is merging with a company full of cry-babies. This merger won't work as none of the US employees will let it work. What a bunch of malcontents. Wipe your tears, blow your nose and get on with running an airline or LEAVE!

Geez, take a chill pill. Since when do employees run an airline? I think that is the point of the post.

You go bar!!!!!

I agree 10000000%. Everyone points fingers and blames the U management for everything, well it really is not that easy. Employees are just as much to blame for their own misery as much as management is for doing some of the things they do.

Parker has oversight, he doesn’t put up with liars, cheats, pain in the blanky blank, and people who do not perform. Get over it. Parker knows what he is doing. Enuf said, stop the hypocritical crying.

What the folks from US don't understand is that they have the oppurtunity to e-mail Doug Parker and the rest and give him an earful. But NOOOOOO!!! They want to cry on an internet bulletin board and complain about their sour milk. See Doug Parker at a Town Hall and have a beef? Tell him! You won't be fired. Guess it's easier to piss and moan.

Honestly, from what I have been seeing on BBs, I really don't want to work with these people. They ALL seem like cry-babies. Each and every one.

...and the funny thing is that this post was started with "Most of the people I talk to were trying to give Mr. Parker the benefit of the doubt. But that has faded with the recent turn of events." which only demonstrates that certain (trust me...I know it is only a few but they are the lurkers on these boards) employees of U aren't willing to give Parker a chance at all. Just looking for an excuse to be disgruntled. For the malcontented U employees that lurke on these boards...do the merger a favor and get out b/c it won't be successfull if you are already looking for a reason to get upset at somebody.

Since when do employees run an airline? For you, that should be about early October. Unless you only want to whine, of course.

"I think that is the point of the post." No, the point of the post was to act like a beat pup.

Talk about some issues??? You need to step back a bit. You are the one that seems a might bitter over something? Could it be that your senriority is about to take a plunge? Just checking!

Since none of you HP employees have had to work for Crellin, Hemenway or Presti, you have no room to talk.

The three men have ruined the company and its employees in their own unique fashion, but I would not expect any of you to know this since you have not been through four or more paycuts, two bankruptcies in less then two year, managened by threats and intimidations, over 150 planes parked and 20,000 less employees.

When you have walked a mile in the US' employees shoes then you can comment, until then I suggest you listen and watch very carefully as your turn is next.

Please note your remarks for future referance because when the next melt down occurs, you will find that it is your fault that there isn't enough staffing or you called in sick one time too many or some other lame excuse.

I hope this merger works, but don't try to tell me I am just as equal to blame for U's troubles. More times than I can remember have I been told if I would just give up work rules, salary, pension, etc., etc., etc.; things will get better.
