What's new

Injunction is out

They will run for cover until the dust settles. Then watch for them to return in droves, possibly with new screen names, with the same old propaganda. Notice how Hate, Black Swan, Luvthe9, and others are absent with any comment on how wrong they were. Yet they are the loudest crybabies for the USAPA cause.

I am right here, pathological friend. Interesting how an ALPA member would back an injunction when one is in place on your own group. I am just waiting for all the C/P phone numbers to be made available on a quick reference card, so I can call them for each and every write up, and to ask taxi speeds in certain conditions.

Boy, you can say that again. He is coming unglued with some off the wall stuff in his posts. References to pregnant women and the IRS???? I think it's time for him to call EAP. Definitely needs to lay off the sauce. Maybe he's being investigated by the IRS and this injuction just pushed him over the edge.

I must say though, I love to see such arrogance pounded into the dirt! 😉

Let's see, a UAL pilot with an injunction on his own airline, loves to see "arrogance pounded?" Jetzz, are you one of the UAL scabs?

I will second that - post #130 by Reed Richards needed to be said and was on the mark.

So where do we in the east go from here? Someone on another forum said that the unity wad between east and west has been shot. It will take the next generation of pilots on this property to repair what has been shattered. If the east loses LOA93 then it's reasonable to speculate that the esprit de corps wad will have been shot as well. Resignation and apathy will prevail. In fact it has already begun if you consider the level of participation in the CLT domicile elections last month.

A bunker mentality is beginning to overtake the boys at HQ, which increasingly renders this leadership team ineffectual and irrelevant.

If the men leading this union truly care about doing what is best for the membership, rather than protecting their positions, I would urge them to seriously consider resigning from their offices and calling for an early, special election.

They can go ahead and run for the same office as well, if they feel they have the support. But it's time to hit the reset button.
What have you done to make your dissatisfaction known? Are you going to submit a recall petition?

And what about a replacement. Are you going to look for someone that wants a Nic compromise and start this whole thing all over again? If that's the case, and from what I see it is, then you'll find the west putting Cleary right back into office.

What's your personal move?

#3 to dismiss the spanking at the hands of the clerks. And dumb enough to suggest that it will now become worse for the company. It's true - you can't fix stupid...

I bet Lee's already got his spreadsheet set up to track "frivolous calls to management personnel in an illegal effort to disrupt operations." BS - you do know that with that an injunction in place the next hearing if the easties persist will be for damages? Are you that into the "M" part of S&M?

Jim

Enjoy the injunction all USAPA pilots. Remember, Aerogestapo is in PHX also....
But we don't do idiotic things and fake write-ups like the east does so there really is nothing to worry about. Remember all those charts and statistics? The west will continue to run an operation the will be used to judge yours.

I doubt it. He loves to see idiots who go all in and risk the livelihood of others get beat down.

I like it too.

Well, we all know where the West pilots stand, exactly where they have always stood in pilot disputes- on the sides of SCABS. Your heritage is international, and you broke ground in that department. Here is a little news about the UAL pilots Jetzz likes to see beaten down. Wait, is Jetzz a REAL UAL pilot, or one of the scabs?

Court issues injunction against United pilot union

By Joshua Freed, AP Airlines Writer
MINNEAPOLIS — United Airlines said on Tuesday that a federal judge has barred its pilot union and four pilots from activities that disrupt the airline's activities.
United had accused some pilots of abusing sick time and refusing to fly extra hours. Sick-outs in particular are not allowed under the Railway Labor Act, the federal law that governs airline labor relations.

United said the judge in Chicago found that the actions of the Air Line Pilots Association had violated the act, and issued a preliminary injunction on Monday against four pilots and the union. United said it would next seek a permanent injunction.

Over the summer United blamed the pilots for the cancellation of 329 flights between July 19 and July 27. The carrier said that cost it about $8 million in lost revenue and $3.9 million in operating profit. United filed the lawsuit on July 30.

A spokesman for the United branch of ALPA did not immediately return a phone message seeking comment.

"While there is always room for discussion and tough give-and-take about our business, deliberate actions that unfairly or unlawfully impact our customers and employees -- and that keep us from achieving our full potential -- will not go unchallenged," Chief Operating Officer John Tague said in an e-mail to United employees.

A defense that was so weak the company did not even bother to cross examine these 2 "star" witnesses. This is embarrassing for the union and for the lawyers and for the leadership. It is also embarrassing to be a US airways pilot.

I wondered why the company did not cross examine Wells, and now it is obvious.

Minions of the scab union do not deserve any recognition, least of which would be allowing them more opportunity to open their lying pie holes on a witness stand.

Every West pilot should immediately cancel dues check off, and stop paying usapa dues. usapa has used dues monies illegally and contrary to the West contract. Any future section 29 letter could be easily defended against with the simple warning to the company that the company's injunction is proof of usapa's use of dues for non-germane expenses and attempts to harm the company.

The only thing more embarrasing than being a US Airways pilot, would be if you were a LCC pilot and a usapa member.

DALLAS/FORT WORTH AIRPORT, Texas, Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- American Airlines today filed a lawsuit seeking an injunction against the Allied Pilots Association's (APA) leadership to prevent it from calling a strike in sympathy with its flight attendants.
"While the APA called for a vote and conducted a secret ballot election on the issue of sympathy striking, we were concerned that the APA leadership, might, in fact, ignore what we believe to be the feelings of the majority of American pilots who have no interest in participating in a strike," said Jane Allen, vice president/employee relations.
"Further, American considers such a sympathy strike a violation of both the Railway Labor Act and the company's collective bargaining agreement with the APA," Allen said.
"We felt it was both prudent and necessary to seek an injunction so we can continue to protect the interests of our employees, our customers and our shareholders by operating the airline in the face of this job action by our flight attendants," Allen added. "We believe our action will enjoy the support of an overwhelming majority of pilots."
The company's complaint was filed Friday afternoon in Federal District Court for Northern Texas.

We are in good company. ALPA pilots and ALLIED PILOTS share a common thread. Is this ARROGANCE POUNDED also, or are the WEST pilots the outliers in the industry?

You're slipping then... ...but true to your ways. Make light of it when I correct a westie and attack me for not correcting westies... 😱

Jim

Who's making light? I called you fair and balanced. Now keep it up and maybe you can go back and show Dreaminofclt he was wrong about double digit consecutive profits for AWA and pre's 2005 active pilots. No, on stuff like that you just stay silent. Make a gentle, easy call on a westie every once in a while to show me how you are fair and balanced. Why did you have to point it out to me, because it is so rare?

Federal judge issues injunction against Delta Air Lines pilots

ATLANTA — A federal judge Wednesday forbid Delta Air Lines pilots from coordinating efforts to refuse overtime work, a tactic the airline contends the pilots have used to apply pressure during contract negotiations.
U.S. District Judge Willis Hunt Jr. issued a preliminary injunction and gave pilot union leaders until Feb. 26 to explain how they are notifying pilots about the injunction prohibiting the "no-overtime" campaign.

Hunt, who required the Air Line Pilots Association to post notice of his order, also barred pilots from harassing colleagues who accept overtime.

Wednesday's injunction follows the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals' reversal of Hunt's December finding that Delta was not legally entitled to an injunction.

Delta, the nation's third-largest carrier, has been forced to cancel thousands of flights since December when some of its 9,800 pilots stopped requesting overtime. Delta and the pilots have been negotiating a new contract since September 1999.

What the heck is going on here? Who DOESN'T have an injunction on them???
