MAA is the future of U weather you want to beleive it or not. If U survives it will be all one..right now it is a division. Not a seperate company. I am still qualified on ALL the a/c and most of mainline is qualified on the EMB-170. There is a reason for everone being qualified on all the A/C..you will see why in the near future. Get with the program already..geesh..

Obviously you are immature and like to come on here for spell checks...we have alot of time to spare..I guess you were one of "non-sick" employees of U sitting on here yapping your bill away while we worked the holiday. Have a nice New Year..I am sure you won't be be working.

Ok; I read this, and I understood what this thread was about, and then I read the following thread.UseYourHead said:Considering what is happening, and how many caring employees work here at US Airways, should we support/demand discipline with regard to people who are bent on deystroying the airline though sick abuse, walking off the job and so on.

So, I made the following comment:BoeingBoy said:Ya know first, you've touched on something that I'm surprised hasn't received more discussion.....
On the one hand, the company has to tell the court that if they don't get everything they want (interim pay cut then abrogation if necessary), we'll have to liquidate. With the unsettled nature of section 1113 of the BK law, that's the only way they can be reasonable certain that the judge will rule in their favor - some jurisdictions have held that the requested action must be necessary to prevent liquidation to be justified. Of course, it the company say's that in their filings and testimony the media reports it.
On the other hand, the November financial numbers filed recently tell a somewhat different story. Yes, losing nearly $2 million a day - not good. But unrestricted cash on hand at the 1st and 30th of Nov more than $100 million above the ATSB requirement (and didn't someone testify that the company was "dangeriously close" to not meeting those requirements?). Unrestricted cash on hand at the 1st and 30th well above the projections presented in support of both the interim cuts and abrogation motions - despite testimony about "more booking away" and the supposedly high fuel cost (supposedly because no one knows in advance what the average fuel cost will be on any given day and only the company knows what our actual past average has been since filing BK but I'll wager it's been lower than the spot price).
