When was the CAL vote between their union and ALPA?

When was the FedEx vote between their union and ALPA?

You are the one who started bring up the IAM, not I.

Whoa Nellie. Don't you work for MDA? MDA is nothing more than an excuse to Wal-Mart airline industry wages. Takes a special breed to like being part of THAT. 🙄

Time for my 2 cents.. I worked from Thursday until today(Sunday) and I had all full flights..people were mad about the bags..but I did not see that going on in Philly with the bags because I am on the emb 170..so, MAA employees did not do any of this walk off..sick call out thing. It just strikes me as funny that we at MAA work because we do love our job..we have all been layed off...some of us longer than most..we have had our pay drastically cut..more than anyone at mainline could ever imagine. It is bad..but you see we are optomistic and we want U to survive unlike others. I feel like the baggage handlers in philly that went home and left all those bags should be FIRED..point blank...goodby..but, the crews that called in sick is nothing new to U, it happens every year..it is expected. That is what the reserve f/a's and pilots are there for..when you get hired at this job you basically agree to working alot of time and HOLIDAYS. I just felt so bad for all those passengers that did not get to spend Christamas on their days off with their familys. That was such a horrible thing to do. God is watching and they will get theirs and I do not feel bad for none of them!

I would also like to take this time to thank all of the gate agents for the wonderful job they did this holiday weekend..they were very stressed out and passengers were not happy..but they came to work and did what they need to do..Thank you!!! As for the Philly bag handlers.....SHAME ON YOU FOR DOING WHAT YOU DID!!! What comes around goes around and I hope the ones that were involved get what they deserve.. whatever that may be.

Eyeinthesky,

MAA is the future of U weather you want to beleive it or not. If U survives it will be all one..right now it is a division. Not a seperate company. I am still qualified on ALL the a/c and most of mainline is qualified on the EMB-170. There is a reason for everone being qualified on all the A/C..you will see why in the near future. Get with the program already..geesh..

Go AFLAC yourself.

eyeinthesky,
Obviously you are immature and like to come on here for spell checks...we have alot of time to spare..I guess you were one of "non-sick" employees of U sitting on here yapping your bill away while we worked the holiday. Have a nice New Year..I am sure you won't be be working.

Yup, don't have to work. But, it was planned and company sanctioned if you must know. Now, about those spell-checks; forgive me for getting A's in kiddie school. Good news for you, they do have online cyber schools so perhaps you can bone up on those grammar skills.

xoxo,

Get with putting out the correct information. Mainline is not qualified on the EMB-170.

Do the mainline Flight Attendants have the EMB-170 tabs in their emergency manuals? Are any of them qualified?

They are not qualified on the equipment.

There is a negotiated "fence" up, that is in MAA contract and "mainline flow-through" side letter .

The broken record is people with your
mentality. The record was broken by
illegitimate sick calls. Quit already or
stop giving encouragement and tacit
approval to crap like the PHL bag
situation. You union hardliners make
me want to puke.

Considering what is happening, and how many caring employees work here at US Airways, should we support/demand discipline with regard to people who are bent on deystroying the airline though sick abuse, walking off the job and so on.

Please weigh in

Ok; I read this, and I understood what this thread was about, and then I read the following thread.

Ya know first, you've touched on something that I'm surprised hasn't received more discussion.....

On the one hand, the company has to tell the court that if they don't get everything they want (interim pay cut then abrogation if necessary), we'll have to liquidate. With the unsettled nature of section 1113 of the BK law, that's the only way they can be reasonable certain that the judge will rule in their favor - some jurisdictions have held that the requested action must be necessary to prevent liquidation to be justified. Of course, it the company say's that in their filings and testimony the media reports it.

On the other hand, the November financial numbers filed recently tell a somewhat different story. Yes, losing nearly $2 million a day - not good. But unrestricted cash on hand at the 1st and 30th of Nov more than $100 million above the ATSB requirement (and didn't someone testify that the company was "dangeriously close" to not meeting those requirements?). Unrestricted cash on hand at the 1st and 30th well above the projections presented in support of both the interim cuts and abrogation motions - despite testimony about "more booking away" and the supposedly high fuel cost (supposedly because no one knows in advance what the average fuel cost will be on any given day and only the company knows what our actual past average has been since filing BK but I'll wager it's been lower than the spot price).

Come on down on my 1810 to MIA and we'll chat about that...you a cocktail and me a bottle of water. 😛

To which I have a couple of comments of my own. First of all, do we like to brag? You want me to come down on your 1810? Well, that's mighty neighborly of you. Secondly, me a cocktail and you a bottle of water? What makes you think I want or need a cocktail? And third, what have I done to you firstamendment? Did I pi$$ in your cornflakes?
To all who worked yesterday, best wishes and thank you.
