TWU has been at AA for 70 years. AMFA has tried to get in for 52 years. But hey after we get our JCBA you go for it. I'm not going to get in your way. You can spin your wheels for the rest of your career on that one for all I care.

I mean you're going to need something to do while you sit on your pier waiting for your next bag to come down to load in that cart.

I'm going to go back to reading books personally.

I know where you got it. The top scale of UA is $33 on January 1, 2022. That's like 6 years from now, right?

No hating on the Bagroom or any other honest job where someone can earn a paycheck. But I'm sure that the individual I was conversing with would much rather be sitting behind an office desk with a nice comfortable leather chair than where he currently has to trot himself off to daily.

As for Delta I just feel more comfortable comparing ourselves to what is contractually tangible and can be read. It's just difficult for me to really use your group as a comparison when things can fluctuate too easily. Plus IMO if we focus on your group we would also have to focus on anyone who lifts a bag in the US and that takes us back to the BLS data.

We're going to do better than that.

Weez I don't think DL did anymore fluctuating then we did and if it wasn't for them we would be getting 26 and change, a point you have driven home many a time.

Peeps can do their own research. I'm not worried about credibility. 15 flights a day is what an AGC told me, although they are asking for 5. The TWU has 20 flights a day for new stations, and we have 25 I believe, so if they settle on 15 flights a day, that will bring in several more stations. I'm uncomfortable with 15 flights but that's a likely scenario along with the other things I mentioned. Obviously, I'd love to go back to the previous TWU level of 7 flights or even less. Deal me in with that thinking!

Tim I thought you were saying if a station went below 15 flights a day it would be farmed not what is needed to open a new station.

Whatever the level may end up, I'm sure there will be a level in which a station can lose work, and a level in which a new station can come in. Right now I think a new station has to have 25 flights for us, and 20 for LAA. So, 15 would be an improvement.

Does your president work the ramp? our's does and I don't think she makes $1000 a month. It's a thankless job getting calls at 3am and such. I would think some people(not in her case) take the jobs hoping for future considerations

Our President doesn't work the ramp and neither do most other Presidents. In small stations (where they receive less pay in their positions) some do work CS or OT after their duty hours and on weekends.

Yes they probably do. And some become very vengeful when they don't get one of those higher up chairs. Tells you who they're really in it for.

Our iam pres in ord gets about 3,000 a year and works the ramp. We have 6,000 members in my local. But.....the iam infrastructure makes the local a sorta admin storefront as the officers have no other duty other than admin. My twu local prez makes about $10,000 a year but he has to represent, handle benefits, etc and i appreciate his service. He tries to pick up ot when he can. He does a great job, from speaking to members, regarding benefits etc. In mia you are lucky to have nyer. I dont agree with him all the time but he is sharp and isnt a pushover.

On the one hand, you tell Kev and others that their opinions are invalid due to nobody knowing the future, but then you do the same thing and speculate but claim it as fact.As far as the United contract, I don't have any need to review it. It's 5% now. About the only thing you have said, with any consistency that was true, is that the United peeps have a retiree bridge using 11 hours of sick time a month to extend health care through the age of 65. If we got that, then maybe I may retire at 60. I'm pulling for you to be right about all of your Pollyanna Treasure Island stuff bro. And I really hope you are correct that it won't come with concessions. You will have a lot of explaining to do, 701, if we had to purchase our $30 with concessions. I want that contract that is better than the CWA contract that you guaranteed us! I want it now!

You were nyer best advocate until you found out he wouldnt put you on his ballot. From what i heard, you absolutely killed your team ballot as they made a critical error by giving you a very minor role. But your blasting of nyer in the breakrooms was not well received.

And, to be sure, i dont talk to nyer and ive even busted his balls as well, but i also give credit to where it is due and have to respect the Local's vote.
