Not exactly...it didn't turn to sh*t for many of us until 1989.

Driver...

I get a kick out of all these references to the 1980's. Whether it is a screen name of 1984 or whatever it seems like you still live in the past. I'm old enough to have an AARP card but I sold my 8-track tapes a long time ago.

Some of you need to stop living in the what you perceive as the "glory days" and start living in 2012.

I guess the NIC with fences is also out of the question.

Driver...
Does the Nicolau include fences?

If they were not included it would not be the Nicolau now would it. How many times do you guys need to be told something?

Besides I think you all were convinced that you were getting DOH either this time or next time.

I know Driver can take up for himself, but the reason he posted what he did was because the previous poster incorrectly said that things had been screwed up for 30 years. That is incorrect. 30 years ago things were clicking right along, at least at US Air and Piedmont. Posters stop saying stupid things they know nothing about, no reason to go back to the glory years. Take on the guy pulling stuff out of his rear and tell him to learn his history if he is going to talk about it.

Oh sorry. Things have only been bad for 23 years since 1989 not 30 years. Damn 23 years and you guys want to continue the tradition.

Over state just a little. Like the constant incorrect statement that the west is doing 24% of the east flying.

You long ago established what an idiot you are. You really don't have to keep proving it.

What basis do you want to use for "bad"? Contract? That didn't become worse than AWA until 2004.

Well boys what is the excuse now?

TEMPE, Ariz., Aug. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ --US Airways (NYSE: LCC) today announced that it has reached a tentative agreement on a collective bargaining agreement with the Association of Flight Attendants (AFA), which represents the airline's 6,800 mainline flight attendants. Details of the agreement will be made available by AFA.

The AFA has brought 2 T/A to the membership. How many sections does usapa have closed?

You east guys are in charge you were going to show the company who was boss and us rookies how to get a contract. So what is it? Same management, same economics yet every other group has a contract or at least voted on something.

The most hilarious thing on this board is 90% think it is a done deal and will happen just as DUI DOUG predicts, but then again so was DELTA, and UNITED! Keep carvin up the landscape,! MM

Yep, 30 yrs ago Eastern was on top and things were fine at Braniff, TWA and Pan Am. Other airlines like the former USAirways that no longer exist.

But irrelevant sidetracks are par for the USAPA faithful's course.

TWU at AA voted yes 50.25% to 49.7% no. Word out today. Does that help Horton or DUI?

P.S. if the TWU passed then the chances the pilots will pass theirs is extremely high... again, does that help Horton or DUI? (and maybe we now know what dropped LCC 8% yesterday, the TWU vote passed yesterday).

Western village idiot #2 shows up. It was a pro-west poster that brought it up.

You guys really should study the history of your industry. 30 years ago things were great for Braniff?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Braniff_International_Airways

"Braniff International Airways was an American airline that operated from 1930 until 1982, primarily in the midwestern and southwestern United States, South America, Panama, and, in its later years, Asia and Europe. The airline ceased operations on May 12, 1982, due to factors including escalating fuel prices, aggressive and unsustainable expansion, and fierce competition following changes that resulted from the Airline Deregulation Act of 1978."

OTTER, res jud, and uhaul should be showing up any minute now.

I have no problem with Driver or 1984 who are pretty level-headed posters. My thoughts are in general about how there seems to be a lot of looking back which keeps things from moving forward.

The driver who keeps looking in the rearview mirror might find themselves in a pile-up going into a merge.

Just sayin.

Why on earth would anybody wish to go east now with an AMR merger pending?

JFK, MIA and focus city CLT will be the east coast hubs...ORD, DFW and focus city STL will be the midwest hubs...and LAX, SFO and focus city PHX will be west coast hubs.

You see PHL anywhere on that list? Also, say goodbye to the 190s and the 330 fleet.

A 1999 hire scab such as yourself should be pretty concerned about a couple of facts.

AA closed SFO down months ago

Fact 1...The Nic is the only system seniority list for all LCC pilots.

Fact 2.. usapa has a DFR to represent all LCC pilots.

Fact 3..the APA does not give a rats rear how much attrition the LCC pilots have when a couple thousand pilot jobs are going to be on the line.

Fact 4...nobody likes a scab.

Have a great day junior.

Wrong again. Man you have got to be getting tired of being wrong.

Pilots turned down their T/A.

Funny, the part about pile-up and merging.

I find myself referring to the east pilots as a whole sometimes. You're right they're not all the same. You can't lump Driver and 1984 in with Claxon and MM, because the only thing they probably have in common is that they are human beings and breath air. Well....... I think they at least have that in common.
