July - US Pilots Labor Discussion

I believe what it says is once the seniority issue is settled, you could bid an OPENING in CLT. I don't think you would bump anyone. The NIC award gave you no special privelage to bump.

BTW, I'm already in PHL. Got a feeling you still have quite a wait since it looks like Judge Silver decided to sit this one out until she sees which way the wind blows with AA. So, I suppose you'll just have to continue to hurl your insults from the West domicile. 🙂

Driver...

There will be openings as some of you will come west. No one said I would be bumping anyone, but for you to think I'm actually going to have to wait to get into CLT with my Nic seniority is ridiculous.

And you're save in PHL as most of us want nothing to do with that shithole.

I'm not too sure about the wait. With the way your CLT reps are going apeshit, I think a MOU is about to be inked by Hummel on your behalf.

Congrats! You've f'ed yourselves again.

Good one there chuckles. I may lose sleep over that post and then again I may not.

Now go back to throwing bags.

ohhh good one there Mr Ego I see people in the breakroom with advanced flight sim programs doing what you are.

if you make to to CLT one day maybe I put your briefcase on a 330 to FRA since it will never see one otherwise

In post 1411 you said you could bump me. THAT was ridiculous.

Man up.

Yo 9,

Expect some news late tonight.

Now how would I know that????? Hmmmmmm...

Like the good scabs you have always been.
Next time you share a van with the western scabs ask them if America West was their first choice of jobs. They will squirm uncomfortably in their seats. Especially U Haul and Nicforlorn4us.

I do not talk shop with my east co-workers...just makes for a bad experience for them.

However, if I were asked your proposed question, that would be no reason for me to squirm as I would give an honest and accurate account of how I came to be hired at AWA.

If I felt the question was asked as a means to somehow demean my position at LCC, I would simply remind the inquisitor how Nic saw the value of my position and that the Nic is still the only system seniority list at LCC........oh..are we in talks of a merger??

United Said to Reach Contract Accord With Pilots Union

By Mary Schlangenstein and Julie Johnsson - Aug 2, 2012 7:32 PM MT

United Continental Holdings Inc. (UAL)reached a tentative contract agreement with union pilots, movingthe world’s largest airline closer to integrating its workforceafter the 2010 merger that formed the company, two peoplefamiliar with the matter said.

Pilot negotiators are briefing union leaders on the accordtonight, said the people, who asked not to be identified becausethe talks are private. They said they couldn’t elaborate on theterms.
Approval by rank-and-file members of the Air Line Pilots Association would bring together work groups from the former United Airlines and Continental Airlines Inc., which closed their merger in October 2010.
The combined company flies asUnited Airlines and kept that carrier’s Chicago headquarters.

The tentative agreement removes the threat of a potentialstrike, a step approved by pilots on July 17 to protest the lackof progress toward a single contract after more than two yearsof bargaining. United had to negotiate a unified accord becausepilots’ previous contracts differed over matters such as pay, benefits and scheduling.
Rahsaan Johnson, a spokesman for United, and Lisa Cohen, aspokeswoman for the pilots, declined to comment.

Looks like another ALPA carrier has a new contract. Completing another merger.

You guys must be so proud of LOA 93 and usapa.

Years ago when the East smugly states to us in effect, "shut up, we're experts, watch how it's done".... Perhaps what they meant was watch how we turn your careers into steaming piles of shite like ours..?its the only thing they continually do flawlessly... It's all starting to make sense now!

Congrats to the ALPA pilots. They actually DESERVE a vastly improved contract unlike the majority of the members of a certain fake union I know.

Awwwwww... Don't spoil it! I want to give luvthe9 a chance to post the actual ALPA UAL MEC update. He seems to love doing that. (Usually 2 years after the fact.)

Come on 9. Are you going to post it, or do you want me to do it?

Specifics are yet to come, but here are some predictions:
- Industry leading pay by a small margin (Excluding FedEx/ UPS)
- Scope similar to Delta
- Generous retro pay/signing bonus
- Equity stake
- SLI to follow shortly as per ALPA merger policy.
- More FO's making more than East captains!

LOA 93 all the way, baby!

Perhaps what they meant was watch how we turn your careers into steaming piles of shite like ours..?its the only thing they continually do flawlessly...

You already had a steaming pile of shite of a career in place and wanted to leap frog your stinking careers over several years of experience and seniority, which caused the whole thing to rot even more!

Why would anyone accept this kind of BS? Would Delta, United, American, or Northwest pilots accept your kind of shite, losing 15 yrs of seniority and call it ok regardless of who their union rep was? Hell no!

Your greed at wanting to leap frog has as much to do with this problem as anything else, period!

Try reading the DAL/NWA arbitration. Yes it is almost identical to the Nicolau methodology. Yes there were some that had a difference of 12 years.

We don't know what the UAL/ CAL will be. Could be the same

How many years did TWA guys loss in the Amercain merger? So yes they would accept a difference of 17 years. If we merge it might happen again and yes they would accept it again.

Pull your head out of that dark place. The east pilots are the only ones that have not accepted reality. the reality was your careers were in the tank and no other airline in the history of airlines had 17 year furloughed pilots.

You are incorrect that Delta, American, United, CAL and NWA would not accept a seniority list with a large difference in LOS. It is a SENIORITY intigration not a LOS integration.

Why would I want to leap frog a furloughed pilot. He had no seniority.

It is the furloughed east pilots that want to leap frog west captains.

I don't believe we have any furloughed east pilots.
