June - US Pilots Labor Discussion

I work under LOA 93 and am proud of it, Otter. East seniority included. At least I am not delusional by some senile old fart named Nicolau..

breeze

Only a moron would be proud to work under LOA93, and let me remind you that it was the east merger committee that pushed very hard to have Nicolau as the arbitrator.

I've heard from four different friends at AMR that the east is going to Republic because the DOJ needs to see the east divesting some of the NE ops.

Hmmmm, wonder who is correct.

That reminded me, I did hear a while back that Doug tried to sell the west to SWA sometime last year but SWA saw no value in it. The info was claimed to have come from a prior CEO that is still involved in the airline game via the financing side of things.

End result is we pilots have no idea what is going on until it happens. The rest is outhouse speculation.

Ummmmmmm, no.

Not an impossible notion..but...it's fair to note that, as is typical of nic supporters, that you're sure doing a whole batch lot of other people's thinking for them. Time will tell.

When you easties lack the common sense to put things together, others tend to jump in and try to help.

Obviously a futile effort with the likes of you.

That's a most kindly thought indeed. Now; all you need do is find any with some situational awareness and mental facility at least meeting, and hopefully exceeding, that of the average sea sponge. Dismissed.

By no means...a wee bit too late getting in the game for that one. Only war theater included sand, much later. A bunch of our guys and some gals even, got brought back to active duty during that time. I'm thinking at least a couple hundred or more...likely closer to three hundred or so.

Don't be so vague. Did you serve in the Persian Gulf? If so, when, what unit, what aircraft? Were you actually recalled or serving in the guard/reserves? I know of very few guys/gals getting called back to active duty and those that were did not get recalled into flying positions. If you served, thank you. If not, get off BB's back.

We do still have a couple Vietnam vets flying the line that I know. They are close to retirement. One was f-4 driver right at end of the war if memory serves, he might be a good source for Season 2 script material on where, when and what equipment! 🙂 He may know if BB was or was not.

Eastus also seems to be working from some knowledge of BB's past but appears to not be sure of the entire story.

He was never a military pilot...period. I'd think it most inappropriate to delve into any person's more personal details than are required for the "discussion", and wouldn't do so on a public board in any case...and certainly not for mere amusement. If I knew the man's "list", shirt size, favorite toothpaste/whatever/who cares...which I don't, I'd not make them public regardless. It pushed my, hopefully reasonable and sensible limits, to just note the lack of Wings.

I never claimed to, nor ever even inferred having experienced ANY personal service in Viet Nam. Doing such would be a despicable, and outright LIE.
Well, considering the source...

But at least we've established you as the target audience for USAPA FUD - old and junior.

And your behavior of the past 7 years has caused you to forfeit any gratitude for your service from me. It's obvious that others have carried your water your entire career.

Dang It! I can't tell you how much I'll miss those Christmas and birthday cards and all the "benefits", now tragically and forever missing along with your heartfelt "gratitude"...just because I don't think you or anyone's worthy of your St. Nic gift 😉 How utterly crushing to live a sad life deprived of your earnest "gratitude"....I can now dread many sleepless nights to come...Sigh! For such as yourself though?: Don't fret. It's still possible for you to offer "service" to our Nation. I hear the Boy Scouts are always looking for great leaders, and that's just one avenue to consider 😉

Sounds like perfectly reasonable limits to me. For someone to claim Military service when they did not serve does not do justice to all those that did. People like that should be exposed. We all see too many guys/gals headed to and from the current combat zones, some of them in pretty busted up shape on the return trip to let posers claim service where there was none.

For someone to claim Military service when they did not serve....

NO sir! We need to stop right there, since BoeingBoy DID serve the Nation, just not in the combat theater of Viet Nam, and not as any Aviator. Not everybody gets lucky enough to do that, as all know. I mean zero disrespect to his service, just complete contempt for obvious BS otherwise. Methinks I've pushed the limits of how personal any posting should go....but I wish no assumptions towards the man.
