June - US Pilots Labor Discussion

The east is anything if not absolutely predictable. DeWit-less knows his farm animals out east very well .....They have the emotions of a 13 year old girl, and choose to allow it to drive the policy for 5000 adults....................Recognize this moron for what he is.

As you couldn't apparently counter (or even address) so much as ONE point of the posting with any lucid "argument" other than the above...well...you need have little concern for anyone failing to "Recognize this moron for what he is"

PS: "The east is anything if not absolutely predictable." = Huh? 😉

If, as you imply, that implementation of PBS at AWA did not cause any job loss and would not do so here, in the event of a merger with AMR, then it should not be any "big deal" for Team Tempe to put those concerns to rest, with written guarantees. Yes?

Indeed sir. The devil is always in the details...or the complete lack thereof in this case.

"... contributions to the combined employee group..." ...? What would you even begin to fantasize yours to be? 😉 That summary certainly "shouldn't take long" 😉 Any tiny portion of that lady's union tenure would outshine the entirety of your or AOL's lifetime "contributions" tenfold...but...I sometimes forget the standard contempt such as yourself inevitably demonstrate for any other people's earned respect from past efforts and accomplishments.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you, "Predictability".

No, chum, most folks demand to know "what have you done for me lately?". A question USAPA and most on the east fear being asked.

Continue your eulogy of your career, oh great shoveler.

Since you chose to make yourself irrelvant, you are in no position to demand guarantees. Shoulda thought about that, huh?

1) No argument there...and more's the pity.

2) Really?..."most folks"?....or just your sorry sort? So....in the event you were priveleged to be present to see passengers from an Honor Flight disembarking, you'd naturally ask of them: "what have you done for me lately?"......Likewise with perhaps Hall of Famers from any aspect of sports?....Music?....Research scientists like the late Jonas Salk?....Whatever you care to insert here?...Perhaps your own parents for that matter?

As astonishing a concept as it obviously is to you...."what have you done for"....."MEEEEE!"..."lately?" isn't the only reasonable basis for respecting others.

The only thing that connects PBS with job loss is a gutted Scheduling section of the contract, which is exactly what USAPA is going to have force-fed to them. PBS is simply the method by which pilots access a lousy schedule brought to them courtesy of those who support USAPA's foot stomping and feigning concern for the line pilot.

Build a decent scheduling section and you'll get a decent schedule - PBS will be a handy side benefit.

Did the learned grey-heads out there understand that? I have a DVD with Wilford Brimley and Andy Griffith explaining it to you if you want it. VHS if you need it.

Really? That's the standard to which you hold union leaders accountable who extort money from you as a condition of employment?

So, using your own argument, ALPA should be alive and well at USAirways because of their past accomplishments.

Hmmm, waiting on the next non-answer. Or you can pass to the next contestant.

  1. American Airlines, US Airways Merger Speculation

    June 22, 2012

Doug Parker, CEO of US Airways, has made a career out of attempting to merge airlines. The former America West Airlines CEO has not been successful to date. Eastern Shuttle, ATA, United, Delta. Bzzzzzt. What about the US Airways-America West merger you say, Bzzzzt.

US Airways Pilots and America West pilots are not allowed to fly each others routes due to a seniority dispute. Is this dispute a problem? Mr. Parker does not mind it at all, he uses it as an excuse not to bargain in good faith with the pilots and is saving more money than the synergies of a completed merger could bring.

American Airlines is Mr. Parkers latest attempt. He is setting up three pilot groups that will fight each other, synergies be damed. Paint all the airplanes the same color and use the politically motivated NMB to stall contracts indefinitely.

But tune in, the pilots are getting wise to his playbook. This may not be a good strategy this time around. Invest in gold, not greed.

This merger needs to be stopped until there is a good contract for all three airlines!!!!!

Absolutely! Dump USAPA through a representation election and get adults in there who can negotiate the best deal possible amongst the rubble Bradford, Cleary and Hummel left behind.

  1. Well, another completely incorrect, article for the east to rally around. Does anyone fact-check anything? (Sorry, I used the F-word)

    Predictable!

I'm in. That article 9 posted is Parker's play book. The way things are going, Easties will be taking a seat in the back of the bus with us Westies. Meanwhile, Parker and APA will be going to the party in a limo. My guess is Parker will even serve the drinks. Bottoms up!

And that is why Parker cut out the east and usapa. Because you guys have no clue and choose to do damage before you think.

Parker did learn one thing from our merger never let east pilot make a decision. They choose wrong every time.
