This is purely from a customer perspective. US Airways has made some improvements that IMO should be recognized. No company is 100% screwed up. I'd like to think we at FFOCUS had some influence however not so sure that's true. Either way I call them as I see them. Do I trust the company? No I don't!! That said I don't think it's all one sided either. Good, Bad or indifferent HP's fight for survival against WN has created a culture that is nearly obsessed with Southwest often to its detriment.

Lately however they are beginning to realize that they have a marketable product and competing against UA, AA, DL and the like is not only possible but potentially quite profitable. This coupled with knowing they can at least survive against WN has led to what I consider pretty positive moves. Moves like:

New 321's with 16 F/C seats compared to 8 on some A/C being replaced
First Class being added to the larger RJ's
What appears to be a significant improvement in IT performance. Not cutting edge but what they have works
Glassware return
Res centers moved on shore by year end.

These are all good moves IMO, What say you?

PS: ONE labor post and the mods will shut it down. You have plenty of Labor related threads, USE THEM

the shuttle has free boxed food i believe that started recently i wish they bringback those hot meals they used to have on cross country flights etc

And the best employees. Even during US's darkest days pre-merger the employees consistently took great pride in their work. There will always be bad apples, but overall, you guys make US fly.

I agree! My "beef" has never been with the front line. Management is another story. In ten years as a CP I can recall ONE incident with a ticket counter agent in the F Terminal. I haven't seen him behind a counter in years. He's always on the golf carts now.

I think ONE really bad apple in ten years of over 100 segments a year is a damn fine track record.

I think this is a good idea:

It's win-win because schools can still afford to take quality trips, we get presumably profitable seats filled, and we make (hopefully) return fliers out of young people in our hub cities.

Here are a few more:

- CLT as a hub
- Wifi on the 321's (although I still stand on my "110V power ports" hill)
- Star Alliance award redemption opportunities
- Service to TLV
- Flavia machines in the US Clubs
- E190's
- Envoy lounge
- Envoy Suites!

First Class on Express facts:

110 US Airways Express aircraft with First Class
85 more destinations with First Class service
61% of daily flights with First Class (the highest of any U.S. carrier)
98% of all US Airways flights over 750 miles will offer First Class
640 more flights daily for Preferred members to get upgrades

Impressive stats!

Of course, my brain got stuck on the 2% of US flights of over 750 miles that will be on RJ's without F. My butt hurts just thinking about it! I presume the 2% will be comprised of CR 2's and E145's, yes? Do Dash's have that kind of range?
