I just read something that says they may be recalling again this summer. They don't want to maintain the furlough list and are ok with being overstaffed this summer. I also hear many are saying they are not showing to training. Will be interesting.

Good for them. Hopefully they read this board and have talked to friends and saw the writing on the wall. Maybe they actually got to see a reserve schedule and pay stub to see what they were going to be coming back to.

My friend just came out of requal/recurrent training and said quite a few didn't show up...and this was the first group that chose to return before the company came back up the list assigning in inverse seniority order.

I go to training next week, my group will include those who were recalled after reaching the bottom of the list and of the 80 set to return...25 have already resigned. There are sure to be more no-shows in training also. Looks like the company is making it happen...getting through the furlough list and removing names quickly.

At least the silver lining is CLT and PHL are bases that are wanted. For the most part BOS, DCA and LGA are not. Many returning f/a's were upset when they found out that some of us were awarded transfers for April already that they were not aware of.

Move again? From where? If they are adding in all bases, where will they come from? Are these just for the recalls?

The senior people in each base will be given the option to transfer to any base that is open. If there is a shortage created by those people more junior people will be assigned to cover those openings. This happens every summer in PHL. People transfer out after the seasonal flying and transfer back in the next summer. So, if you're based in PHL and very junior you can expect to go down 75 numbers when this happens. If they don't get people to cover the open positions in CLT, guess where you will be going?? More than likely it would actually be BOS or LGA.

I have a feeling this is going to be done the way it has been for the last few times. Award transfers and plug the remaining holes with recalls. No merger partner (if someone were crazy enough to even want us) wants to inherit 3 furlough lists so that's a thought. Displacing is a massive disruption of the operation and COSTLY, which is exactly what they are trying to avoid. I wonder if afa is going to try and get some seasonal bid which is a whole controversy in itself. Like I said a million other times. This entire system is whacked out and needs to be redone from the staring point.

I was at requal training this week and several people didn't show up and quite a few left after the debacle they call a base meeting. We have no uniforms, we can't login to Twin Hill so we're not able to order the new uniforms...we have no idea when the "generic uniforms" will arrive. We can't login to CATCREW to change our old info which led to me getting a NCT because my old numbers were disconnected. I told the scheduler I had no uniform and I swear they thought I was making it up. This whole recall is such a mess and nothing is organized at all.
I'm not scheduled to fly til 3/3 but they're calling me already. AUGH!

What information were you trying to change in CATS? You can't update anything in there really. You have to fill out a form and call scheduling.

You can't do that on Catcrew. It's option 31 but it won't work and never has. You can either have a inflight supervisor do it, call scheduling or fill out the form. Actually calling scheduling is a must. CATS has nothing to do with much accept bidding for lines and finding out where you are in line.

That doesn't make sense. My friend was in the same training and also starts the beginning of March. You status is ILG until your first AVL date. How can you possibly get a NCT?

That's the million dollar question. They said I had a NCT and had to get in touch with my sup.
