We have been advised by Captain Lyle Hogg that the sell transaction between Republic and MDA is complete. Classes at Republic to resume on September 27. He states that a new pref. sheet will be sent out shortly. This just posted in Sabre Crew Trac.

Totally UNREAL!!!
Wishing nothing but the best to all of you fine MDA employees.

This is such an unfortunate situation that is happening to our fellow co-workers.
I have been trying to tell everybody this was coming for over a week now and everybody slammed me as saying I was misinformed. To all you "nay sayers"....I don't ever say anything unless I know it as fact. Hence the thread "Republic Deal Complete dated Aug 18th.
Goodgirl....things do come across my desk.
Again, sorry to all of my flying friends...hang in there. 🙂

I'm not doubting that the deal has gone thru but could somebody please post an official statement or document supporting the sale.
Thanks 😉

This Republic situation is new and, in many ways, different from the traditional jets4jobs arrangements.

What will happen to the MDA pilots (including those who came from the wholly-ownds) during the merger?

hmmmm.......how will they train pilots for 28 airplanes plus an addition 26 that they are recieving next year. they is not nearly enough sim time. Im not going to that sh*t bag operation nor are the 300 that i work with. Good luck republic, and next time you or your family nonrevs on a 170 you might change your plans. I would want to put my life with that crew!

So it's a staple job for the former MDA, former US Air pilots? Did ALPA sell them out again?

I hate to break any optimism here, but that has been our mantra at HP about middle management.

Pursuant to Article IV, Section 3 D (1) of the ALPA Constitution and By-Laws, ALPA MEC Chairman Bill Pollock notified the MEC that a Special MEC Meeting has been called for Monday, August 29, 2005 at 2:00 p.m., and will adjourn Tuesday, August 30th at 5:00 p.m., or at the completion of business. The Special MEC Meeting will be held at the ALPA Herndon Office, Conference Rooms 1 and 2, 535 Herndon Parkway, Herndon, Virginia. The agenda for the meeting is:

1) Briefing and possible MEC action on transition agreement negotiations.

2) Discussion and consideration of possible modification to Shuttle pairing construction.

From ALPA's perspective, the MDA-Republic agreement became part of the transition agreement discussions per America West ALPA MEC chairman JR Baker's comments last week. Separately, it's my understanding the Shuttle crews will fly all one-day trips starting in November. The Shuttle will not operate like it did when it was operated by Trump and the pairings will include 4-leg, 5-leg, and 6-leg days.

Regards,

USA320Pilot

Does anybody know for sure if the sale has been completed ? I have yet to see anything official.
This will affect hundreds of U employees and I would like to know if it is in fact the case.

They have no where to go back to, so they will be assigned to do ramp work in PHL.

There is no need to be insulting. Those of us that work at CHQ/REP/S5 do not think of it as a Sh*tbad operation.

I would like to remind you that saying that our pilots are unsafe is not acceptable. How dare you insult us with that. Have you even checked our safety record? We have NEVER had a fatality in the 30 years of our operation, and we continue to strive to keep our safety record that way. Your being angry because of the loss of the E170's is understandable; however, your implication that we are unsafe pilots is just wrong.

Please post your name on here so I will know exactly who you are if I should ever see you!!!!!

You are an insult to all the pilots at U and MDA...
