NWA A320 has new engine changed by SCABS in DTW. Same plane lands in MKE with engine problems. SCAB mechanic ingests hose into same engine. I guess you get what you pay for.

*Note: The above was copied from the AMFA 33 website.

wonder how long that took to change that engine with a faulty one!? 😛 😀 🙄

I could only imagine what the pax must have been thinkin:

" Oh no, Not again! Not another SCAB AIR EMERGENCY LANDING!

When the He!! is someon gonna do something about this airline!?"

The original engine was brought back because snecma failed to install a packing, causing loss of oil. the second engine was FOD'd out because some idiot taxi'd the AC into an air duct on the ramp. I have no further details at this time, but will post them as they come available.
(the engine fod'd out on the ferry flight back to fix the first engine......How ironic!)

Two engine airplanes SUCK!
..............uh, sorry DC-10 voice again. 🙄

You know, when I was a little kid, the DC-10 was one of my favorites; I used to love watch them "come over the fence" at my hometown airport.....

...Then I started working them; now they just give me high blood pressure. 🙁

The DC 10 was the first civilian, and the first fixed wing A/C I ever wrenched on WAAAY back when.....I fondly remember standing there in my high and tight and pressed coveralls, looking up at this behemoth and thinking "Wow thats a dang big plane! Where in the hell did they put the tail rotor?" Ahh, those were the days......

Hey CSAR, do me a favor and check into you MEL books and see if its legal to completely remove a row of seats for an MEL? Just curious, one of your crack scabs has been patting himself on the back again about saving the airline.

Thanks, AP!!!

 From what I remember at scab air it is legal to remove the row for mel. However I do believe csar and pto are 1 in the same so he should know, if he is not to mixed up on what person he is today.

😛h34r: 😛h34r: You might be right. Kinda wierd for a Jarhead vet to be running his mouth constantly about the analogy civilian vs military. Most of us kinda wanna forget those days...

I never heard my father run his mouth about how working at the post office is just like being in 'Nam........
(plus they don't allow combat pay. I think that should be in our next T/A... issue of combat pay...)
