On day ONE, when USAPA becomes the new bargaining agent, the banks will line up to offer credit because on that day USAPA would then have the exhorbitant ALPA dues money coming THEIR way.
The number I've heard is that ALPA collects about $11 million a year from AAA pilots in dues with the 1.95% rate. USAPA estimates that they can operate a better union at about 1%. (Which is about what the other independent pilot unions charge for dues.) All USAPA needs to do is take the credit line to get the offices up to speed, and when the notes are paid off, reduce the dues to 1%. Probably in a year or less.
