Their waiting on the twu and the boys in tule to bring another industry losing agreement.
There you go again with the low balling. The company already offered them $41.00 per hour about 18 months ago. http://www.unitednegotiations.com/employees/technicians/negotiations-updates/2013/11/07/negotiations-update-20131107/Overspeed said:If I read the UA/IBT CBA they top out at on the 7/1/12 scale at $31.17 base + $1.00 longevity + $4.25 = $36.42. I believe they were supposed to go to $38 in the UA proposal. They are still talking though at UA.

The question was what do they make now. Not what they were offered.Vortilon said:There you go again with the low balling. Look what you posted. "I believe they were supposed to go to $38.00ph in the United proposal". I simply showed you United's last proposal. Are we talking current contract, or UAL's latest proposal?Overspeed said:The question was what do they make now. Not what they were offered.
The problem is us though. How can we expect other unions to keep carrying us? The twu and iam both are leaders in the low balling trade. We have come to a pivotal point in the industry where the twu and iam are causing the whole industry to suffer the consequence of company friendly or in reality non bargaining of a so called bargaining agent. The time of reckoning is upon us and all due to company unionism. We have a responsibility to the industry and what will the two company friendly unions do to help out? Point a finger at the other guys and say this is all they make and how do we expect more? Or should they take up the slack that they created and carry the charge for others to follow? Probably they will form an alliance to preserve the dues flow and leave us to hang out to dry!Overspeed said:The question was what do they make now. Not what they were offered.
How many more times are you gonna say that Buck? Currently we are number four, just so you know!Buck said:The TWU has always low balled the mechanics, while the Fleet has been at the top of their pay scale.

Better to drink from a well that is known to be poison than one that you think is.lineguy43 said:You guys are just so totally screwed now, You not only have one loser union representing you now you have two. Even the dispatchers at different airlines are wanting to rid themselves of the TWU and they get a better shake by far then mechanics ever did from the Tw screw. If you are a certificated airman be it A@P or dispatcher you do not want the iam or twu representing you. Those of you weaker members on this forum who voted to keep the twu you get whats coming to you.
