My guess would be that both "SFO" and "winter" have something to do with diversions,especially heading west .

I commute LAX/PHL and haven't had a problem.

I have had a problem w/ a 75 stopping in MCI in the middle of winter.

I recall from flying in and out of the Bay Area years ago that SFO seemed to present more problems than OAK did, for whatever reason.

SFO gets more ATC delays, and enroute slow downs because of congestion. OAK has very little international arrivals to screw up the arrival schedule. The ATC delays are what kept Southwest out of SFO for so many years. A change in their business plan brought them back to both SFO and DEN. Left both back in '85. Southwest grew the OAK operation to hub/crew base level after they closed SFO. Look at it now

Why should US waste money on a FC product? They'd be better off flying as all coach. With the way they are eliminating products, that would make the most sense for US to eliminate FC. Who would actually pay that price on what they have to offer?

Actually you could do something nice and donate to a charity. This way you can feel good about yourself (although I'm sure that is hard to be happy about something or have a positive thought). This way you can let go completely.

You might actually get a tax deduction - however feeling like you helped another human might not do anything for you.

Well one way would be to keep the amount you would have paid prorably to under 0.08 cents a mile.
