New AA Union Drive

Seems like you could put up an interesting matrix on the website comparing the relevant sections for governance out of the APA, APFA, TWU, and proposed AMP's constitutions... A one-page graphic with checkboxes and blanks can go a long way towards pointing out the differences and similarities to folks who don't have time to read and decypher the legalese.

Another Great Idea. Are we going to owe you for consulting fees? LOL

We will be receiving our next installment of management recognition tomorrow in the form of an AIP check. I will be donating it to AMP to help with the costs of creating a independent CRAFT union. The AIP check is not huge but if 100 people do the same then it adds up. I love the idea of using the company's money to remove the company's union.

GO AMP!

You guys need to take it easy you are going to scare the HE## out of CIO.

Ken I have not agreed with you in the past few months but over the last 7 or so years I have respected what you have said and done. But you got balls saying that on a public forum. Remember what happened to Bob and Chuck

With the pension the only thing left in our contract worth a damn. You better start saving, especially since the TWU will try in some way to get control of the pension assets.....but that's the next sellout TA.

Great idea! Times are tough and I have had to cut back on what I can contribute to my 401k thanks to inflation and the concessions of The Worst Union. I could use those few AIP bucks but letting AMP use it will feel better.
AA and their lovers at the TWU are trying to win yes votes from some strange new angles. We had company sponsored pizza today followed with the handout of a postcard of instructions of how to access the jetnet T/A "tool" so that my ignorant ass can understand why voting yes on yet another Jim Little POS contract will somehow be the best for myself, my family and future generations of AMT's. Who thinks up this crap and spends money on it? Anybody wonder why AA would create a "tool" to convince us all how wonderful and harmonious the contract will be for us if we just behave and take it? Does this stuff really work someplace?
I can hardly wait for the vote to be tallied and what the international will pull once the NO vote is in.

Vote NO. GO AMP!

Just curious... it appears that Ken McT is OK going on record about AMP.

Bob Owens has commented on site conversations in the thread, but I don't think I've seen anything which indicates his opinion on AMP in general...

What say you, Bob? Have the local officials been threatened already by the higher ups, or are you just being quieter than usual?...

E:

I would opine that Bob doesn't dare say what he'd like to if he wishes to remain the Local Prez. Remember, some time ago Little Jimmy removed both Bob and Chuck from the same jobs they were elected to by the Local's membership and I wouldn't put it past the little weasel to remove them again should they become too disparaging about the way our favorite "comrade" runs the TWU.

Jimmy finally broke his silence - evidently he's done the math and found his paycheck and those of his fellow appointees might take a big hit should AMP succeed in replacing him and his useless dues collection agency as American's mechanic bargaining agent. He's right on track so far, starting by telling lies about AMP. It's going to get rather comical before it's over, I feel.

Ken, on the other hand, seems to be a little less concerned as to what is thought of him by those in the hallowed halls - that, I applaud and admire.

Let the fun and games begin.
