If it is a "small thing" OK. But you still have not answered the question regarding your anti-China anti-Sweatshop stand in your personal life. How much made in China is in your house? Do you buy at Walmart? Or is it just an issue with you when discussing AMP t-shirts? I am not gioing to blindly follow your pro-American lead until you explain how far you actually take this agenda of yours. I suspect you dont practice your preaching when away from this forum.
Wouldn't you have a much bigger impact recruiting your own supporters and picketing a few Walmarts on a daily basis while distributing information about labor issues? I mean it just seems you picked a speck of fly crap out of two tons of pepper to express your concern.
That’s right informer, it is a small thing. As such I don’t understand why you are so defensive about it. You have no right to criticize me over my concern that the Labor Organization of my choosing should be a supporter of American Labor. And as being such should buy apparel for their people with the Made In USA tag.
Now, my personal life REALLY is none of your business, but as an example, I recently purchased a rifle scope, the brand I purchased is a Leupold, why? Because it is Made in the USA, has a lifetime warranty and is high quality. The Nikon has the same quality’s but sadly is not made here. I recently purchased some saute pans, the wife and I shopped and shopped, believe or not we found a brand at Walmart that guess what? Had the Made in USA label. I was going to purchase them but found the same pans at Costco (Union Shop btw) for half the price so I spent my money there. So, if there is a choice, very rarely do I choose off shored products.
I did not support the AMFA for just exactly this reason, to me, if the organization cannot pay attention to the “little things” they for sure can’t pay attention to the larger things, additionally I would prefer that my labor organization support the “Made in USA” label. Now, had the AMFA used Made In USA products, I may have signed a card. Do you think my sentiment is singular? I think not, you could have used all the cards you could get for your drive, but you never got one from me and probably not some of the other people that saw the Made In Taiwan tag.
So my final point is if you really want this thing called AMP to be successful, you have to pay attention to the details, the “little things”, and a detail like using Made In USA apparel will get more cards and more votes, I am positive of this, because mine will be one of them.
