New Routes Start Today

I agree with PHLfa88 that it would be nice to stay downtown for long layovers.
But I've also had many layovers at the current location, both long and short.
There is absolutely NOTHING to complain about regarding this property.
Its a very nice area.
Walk directly across the street and go behind the small hotel there and you will find a BEAUTIFUL, tranquil park.
My last l/o here was relatively long so I brought along my registered guest.
They gave our crew the condo suites.
We were blessed with beautiful weather and took a walk thru the park before heading over to the Flying Beaver.
FYI bring your ID along for a 50% discount on the float-plane tours that depart there.
After returning to the hotel, we walked a block or so to a gelato shop, then back to the hotel to watch the sunset from the balcony.

On other long layovers I have taken the bus downtown, and also to another closer waterfront area with shopping and restaurants.
Medium layovers I'm comfortable at the Foggy Dew (really good fish and chips).
Short layovers its great to be not far from the airport.

Easy to get around.
Beautiful, user-friendly airport.
Nice layover anyway you slice it.

The TUS layover stays at the same hotel West crews used when we had mainline there.
That hotel could prob use some updating, but the mgmnt really LOVES having crews there and treats them very well.
The van driver is always waiting at the bottom of the escalator and escorts the ccrew out to the van.

I did witness a rather shocking incident on Tues in PHX where the Mesa gate agent and sup denied boarding to two of the inagural crew on their DH flt to TUS because they didn't like they way East scheduling had entered their PS booking.
All Express flights in PHX are completely operated by Mesa employees, upstairs and down.

EVERYTIME I have stayed there (and its been many) I have stayed in the "suites". As I recall, they "remember" names and choose to have those "less desirables" in their less than desirable rooms ... doesn't matter what's right or wrong, You are in Canada ey, and they DO remember!

Now as for the PHL ... can you figure out whether you've gone there, not gone there, like itl don't like it ........................

PHLFA88 quotes here:

Yeah But The Hotel SUCKS!! 45 Min From DwnTwn YVR! I Wonder How Much The Company BEEACHT Is Getting In Kickbacks! She Tried To Get The Hotel In AMS To NOT Give The Crews The 50% Discount In The Lounge and Have it Go Twards The Room Rates..The Hotel Mgmt Said "No Can Do" If We Give It TO One Crew We Give It To All The Crews! GET LOST!!

But then PHLFA88 Quotes:

I Happen To Enjoy All That YVR ( The City) Has To Offer!
